Wuxi Sakura Villa （Taihu Yuantouzhu Scenic Area）

For all you folks planning your annual cherry blossom trip to Wuxi, you absolutely *must* visit Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) and stay at Sakura Villa. It perfectly embodies the saying 'a waterside pavilion gets the moonlight first,' meaning you get the best of it! You can get free admission to Yuantouzhu, enjoy cherry blossom views right from your room, and step out directly into the Cherry Blossom Valley. You'll see so many cherry blossoms you'll get 'aesthetic fatigue,' haha! The hotel's breakfast noodles are quite good, and for lunch, they offer a '3 white' set meal – a good option if you don't feel like venturing out on a rainy day. Key point: Traffic control for entering and exiting the Yuantouzhu scenic area is very strict. During the day, food delivery services aren't allowed inside; deliveries will be left with the guard at the Dushan gate entrance. You'll have to walk 1km yourself to pick them up, or arrange with the hotel front desk for a shuttle to collect it for you. Ride-sharing services and taxis face the same restrictions; it seems they can only enter after 9 PM with prior notification. If you're heading to Ling Shan, I recommend leaving before 7 AM, otherwise, it'll take at least half an hour just to get out of Bogong Island. Also, enjoying cherry blossoms really depends on the weather. This year, the prime viewing period was limited from March 31st to April 4th. After just one storm, half the blossoms were gone, and the crowds were absolutely massive. If you're going to Wuyun Yaju for dinner, be aware that the scenic area gate near the Health Hotel will close. On your way back, *do not* follow Baidu Maps through Jiusong Pavilion to that side; you'll hit a closed gate and waste at least 20 minutes (Baidu Maps led me astray, Gaode Maps is more accurate). Check the last three pictures for yourself to understand what I mean.

This hotel is centrally located right next to the entrance of Cherry Blossom Valley, so you step out directly into a sea of cherry blossoms. **Exclusive Perks:** Guests enjoy unlimited free access to the scenic area, including admission fees. **Convenient for Drivers:** You can drive straight to the hotel parking lot from the Dushan Gate, bypassing queues and parking fees. **Beat the Crowds:** Enjoy the cherry blossom forest all to yourself before 7 AM or after the park closes for the night.

The hotel is located right inside the Yuantouzhu scenic area. The facilities and cleanliness are quite dated, and it's not great value for money. It's probably not worth it after cherry blossom season. For younger guests, you get free admission to Yuantouzhu (a 90 RMB value), but since seniors already get in for free, that perk isn't really an advantage for them.

The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is right in the heart of the scenic area, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Major attractions are just a few steps away in either direction. If you're driving, be sure to confirm with the hotel whether any roads are closed. The breakfast quality was excellent; my family and friends all loved it. We stayed for two nights. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were very friendly.

The location is great, right within the scenic area, making it very convenient for sightseeing. However, the security guard at the entrance had no manners or sense of service. The parking lot at the entrance was full, and he just waved his hands, telling us to go find a parking space back where we came from. We ended up parking quite far away, only to discover later that there were plenty of empty spaces in the large parking lot behind. He clearly knew about the bigger parking lot but didn't even bother to tell us. Absolutely terrible.

The room was decent, clean, and quiet. The highlight is its location within the scenic area, right next to Cherry Blossom Valley, and not far from Changchun Bridge. This allows for a leisurely flower viewing experience, avoiding the crowds. Plus, check-in includes free entry to the scenic area, free parking, and no traffic restrictions, which is great.

Located inside the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, with Cherry Valley right outside, this hotel was booked specifically for viewing cherry blossoms. The hotel is indeed a bit old, but its location is unbeatable. In the early morning, Cherry Valley is less crowded and the flowers are beautiful. I thoroughly enjoyed the 'cherry blossom rain' as the wind drifted through.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, nestled right in the heart of Yuantouzhu's Cherry Blossom Valley on Lake Taihu. It's surrounded by cherry blossoms and faces the lake, offering a serene and secluded environment. A huge bonus is that staying here grants you complimentary access to the scenic area, allowing you to bypass the crowds and enjoy the tranquil cherry blossom spectacle and Lake Taihu scenery in the mornings and evenings all to yourself. Getting to Cherry Blossom Valley and Changchun Bridge from the hotel is super convenient. The scenic area itself boasts a variety of unique local delicacies. The rooms are quite spacious, clean, and tidy, and the service is warm and polite. The breakfast spread is rich and diverse, featuring delightful items like cherry blossom xiaolongbao and apple butter buns, and they even give you a complimentary cultural and creative ice cream bar!
