Based on 133 reviewsLangshan Scenic Spot, located by the Yangtze River, is one of Nantong's most famous attractions. The mountain boasts lush greenery and numerous historical sites, including the millennium-old Guangjiao Temple, Luo Binwang's Tomb, Three Immortals Shrine, and Zhiyun Pagoda. From the summit, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Yangtze River. As one of China's sacred Buddhist mountains, Langshan features temples throughout its slopes, making it a popular pilgrimage destination.

The main entrance of Langshan Scenic Spot is located on Chengshan Road on the east side. While there's a cable car available for ascending the mountain, we don't recommend using it as the attraction isn't large and the mountain isn't particularly high. Walking up and down only takes approx. 2 hours to complete the visit. Along the mountain path, you'll find tombs of many historical figures, including that of Luo Binwang, a famous Tang Dynasty poet. Further along the path stands Guangjiao Temple, which enshrines a statue of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva flanked by statues of the Sixteen Arhats.
The Grand View Terrace on the mountain is now a prime vantage point, offering unobstructed panoramic views of the Yangtze River. Additionally, Langshan Scenic Spot borders the Nantong Horticultural Expo Garden to its west - a perfect next stop after visiting Langshan. The surrounding area also features Ma'anshan, Huangnishan, Jianshan, and Junshan mountains, collectively known with Langshan as the "Five Mountains," all equally worth exploring.

The biggest highlight is the panoramic view of the Yangtze River from the Zhiyun Pagoda, where the river and sky blend seamlessly. Guangjiao Temple is the sacred site of the Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, with thriving incense offerings and a strong ancient temple atmosphere. It also contains historical sites such as the tomb of Luo Binwang, making it rich in cultural heritage.
