The Standard, Pattaya Na Jomtien

I gave the location a 4 because there were a lot of stray dogs, which made me a bit scared at first, but they didn't seem to come onto the property, so it was okay. A staff member named Tei was so kind. Even though we only speak Japanese, he tried his best to explain everything slowly and politely to us. The hotel itself is extremely clean and flawless! I would definitely love to stay here again! The service is also great—they helped load and unload our luggage, carried it to our room, and even escorted us there. There's a photo booth (Purikura) inside the hotel that turns out super cute, so I highly recommend it for girls. It also seems to be pet-friendly, which is a great bonus!

I was very impressed with the lobby staff; they provided comprehensive information and even walked us right to the elevators. The hotel features a clean, white, minimalist design with a beautiful garden. Unfortunately, we had bad luck with the weather during our stay. It rained, so we couldn't use the beachfront seating because the staff had removed all the cushions to protect them from the rain, and they weren't put back out the next morning. I was quite disappointed with Sereia Thai Coastal Grill. We had dinner there, and they brought us the wrong dishes twice (we ordered the pomelo salad with fresh shrimp and got a prawn salad; we also ordered one seafood basil stir-fry and one beef basil stir-fry, but got two seafood ones instead). Later, at the same restaurant the next morning, the items on the breakfast buffet were rather cold—perhaps because the air conditioning was set too high, I'm not sure—which meant many dishes that should have been hot were lukewarm. The only thing I liked was the fresh coconut water, though it was poured from a bottle rather than served fresh from the coconut.

Standard targets a younger crowd, and the hotel features a modern, trendy design. However, the location isn't ideal, as the surrounding area is quite desolate and overgrown. Front desk manager Teddy provided exceptional service, proactively offering various options to make this stay much more comfortable!

The hotel is cool, stylish, trendy, and modern. It's not crowded, the pool is large, and everything you need is available. There are plenty of photo spots, a beach 🏖️ with sun loungers, and restaurants and a bar on-site. There isn't much around—as other reviews mentioned, the nearest convenience store (Tops or 7-Eleven) is a 10-15 minute walk away. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff are friendly. In the evening, we walked along the beach to neighboring restaurants; we liked the food and vibe there a bit better for dinner. We'll definitely be back :)

The beach is beautiful, but the photo booth machine is very laggy. The room was very clean and the breakfast was also great. I didn't really like the coffee, but that might just be personal preference. There are some mosquitoes on the beach, but you can ask them for mosquito repellent, which is very thoughtful.

The facilities are new and very clean. The rooms have high ceilings, which adds to the spaciousness and comfort. The breakfast selection is abundant, and it became our daily routine to take a stroll to the beach after a satisfying meal. The staff members were also very kind; they quickly noticed if we were lost and helped guide us. Although the convenience store is far and it's a bit difficult to visit without a car, the unique atmosphere of The Standard Hotel is truly captivating. We will definitely visit again.
