Check-in took way too long, with a huge line of guests, some of whom were starting to lose their temper. It was pouring rain outside, and everyone was eager to get settled and then head back out to explore; we didn't want to waste any time in Tokyo! There aren't many shops nearby, so we always grabbed food and drinks on our way back. The views from the hotel room were amazing, especially at night with all the lights.

The room offered a view of Tokyo Tower, which I was very pleased with! Since it was my birthday, I had mentioned it in advance, and the hotel emailed me about a surprise. Upon checking in, I found they had left a few small cookies, which was a lovely touch. However, upon entering the room, there was an old, hard-to-describe smell. This smell wasn't present near the bed. (I had read reviews upon checking in and noticed this wasn't an isolated incident.) Check-in was at 3 PM, and I arrived around 3:10 PM. There was a huge line for check-in, and I didn't get into my room until after 4 PM. This service was very poor; it's the first time I've encountered such a situation, and I hope the hotel improves. Personally, I felt the overall service attitude of the hotel wasn't particularly enthusiastic, and all the staff seemed to treat guests differently. The toilet in the bathroom was also old. It's hard to imagine this is a hotel renovated in 2018?

This is the first negative review I've ever given in all my years of using Trip.com. Checking in took an outrageous hour of queuing – I've traveled all over the world and never encountered anything like this at a five-star hotel. No one came out to explain or manage the queue. A white couple behind me complained to an older manager and were then escorted to the 32nd floor for an early check-in, while everyone else had to dutifully wait in line. When I booked on Trip.com, I specifically requested a quiet room away from the elevator. Instead, I was placed right next to the elevator and an elevated highway. It was impossible to sleep at night due to constant car noise and drag racing. I ended up taking sleeping pills for all three nights of my stay. I initially wanted to change rooms, but my family, considering our luggage and arriving back at the hotel past 11 PM each night, stopped me from doing so, fearing the hassle. They just kept blaming me for trying to save money by booking 'such a hotel'. My three nights still cost 7,000 RMB, which isn't exactly cheap. The moment I opened the door, I was hit by an incredibly strong sewer smell. The room itself was decorated in a style reminiscent of a guesthouse from the 80s or 90s. The facilities were very old, and there was a lot of dust. There's no way it was renovated in 2018; I'd even question 2008. Getting around wasn't convenient either; it was quite a walk to the subway station, so we always had to take a taxi. I deeply, deeply regret booking this hotel. In short, it's terrible.

There's a balcony where you can go out and take photos, offering views of Tokyo Tower and the temple grounds. Tokyo Tower lights up in three different colors: one color during the day, another until 10 PM, and a third from 10 PM to midnight.

The environment is beautiful, the rooms are clean, facilities are complete, and the location is excellent.

Our room was upgraded upon check-in, which was a huge plus for our experience. When booking, remember to choose a room facing the park, otherwise, you might occasionally hear traffic noise at night.

The location is fantastic, with a park right downstairs. We even managed to book a room with a tower view, which offered great scenery. For this price point, it's pretty decent in Tokyo, though perhaps a tad expensive. There was no Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk, and getting to the airport wasn't very convenient.
