Baan Ploy Sea

The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious, facing the calm sea 🌊. The Thai food was exceptionally delicious, and the seaside terrace had an amazing ambiance. The environment was serene, making the experience of dining by the sea incredibly pleasant and relaxing.

Overall, the value for money is pretty good. The hotel also arranged a boat transfer for island departure. It's a bit close to the main road, and the soundproofing isn't great; you can clearly hear motorbikes passing by. The restaurant food is decent.

Baan Ploy Sea is a resort with a nice environment, but their family policy isn't very accommodating, and the provisions are a bit stingy. They charge for children aged 10 and 12 staying overnight even without an extra bed. We paid, but the room only provided three complimentary bottles of water. When we called the front desk for two more, they said there would be a charge. However, the hotel does offer a free boat shuttle service to and from Ban Phe pier. If you need it, be sure to contact the hotel in advance to inquire about schedules and make a reservation. The hotel is spread out on both sides of the road. We booked a Jungle Deluxe room, which had a beautiful natural setting, and we even encountered lizards 🦎 and snakes 🐍. The room was very well-cleaned, tidy, and refreshing. The staff were warm and attentive, and the overall facilities were complete. The restaurant is open-air and located by the sea. It was very pleasant to relax by the pool and enjoy the sea breeze during our stay. The overall environment was very comfortable and I'd recommend it. Not far from the hotel, we saw locals digging for clams, which were quite large. There were also many sea urchins on the hotel's pier pilings, which was a pleasant surprise.

The hotel's breakfast was delicious. The view was pleasant. All staff were happy to serve and assist, very friendly and responsible. The sea-view rooms offered sunrise views, and there was even a fire dance performance on Saturday evenings.

Overall, this renovated hotel is pretty good. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but it's quiet, which is nice. The environment is pleasant, the facilities aren't old, and it's clean. The staff are also very friendly, and the breakfast is quite generous.

Pros: The hotel features an all-wood design, and the ocean-view rooms offer a truly pleasant experience with stunning sea views and the sound of the waves. I'd expected the bedding in the room to be damp, but to my surprise, it was dry and fluffy. The hotel restaurant: The dining environment is spacious and comfortable, with a pergola and tatami seating right on the beach. The chef's culinary skills are excellent, with both presentation and taste being perfect. Both hotel and restaurant staff are incredibly polite and friendly. Right next to the hotel is their company's pier for guest transfers. The hotel provides free shuttle service, boat rides, and luggage handling, making island access and departure very convenient, hassle-free, and effortless. Cons: The hotel offers paid laundry service, but there's no self-service laundromat. The nearest 24-hour self-service laundromat on the island is a bit far.
