Hotel Nikko Osaka

The hotel service was absolutely excellent! The staff were all so welcoming and helpful, assisting with our luggage and even delivering it to our room after check-in. The hotel itself was clean and tidy. Its location is also fantastic, right opposite Daimaru Department Store and Parco, and close to Shinsaibashi, making shopping incredibly convenient. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit!

Two days later, I'm back at Hotel Nikko. This time I got a room on the 23rd floor, which is more updated and has a better layout compared to the 12th-floor room I had before. More importantly, this time my window directly overlooked Parco, offering a beautiful night view and even a glimpse of Dotonbori's landmark during the day. I'm not sure if the hotel gave me a free upgrade or if Ctrip booked me a higher-floor room? Even though the size is the same, the higher floor is much better. The location, service, and room quality are all perfect, just like my review from two days ago. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Osaka (if the prices don't go up).

The hotel's location is superb, right across from various malls, drugstores, and restaurants. The interior is clean and tidy, and the staff are all very nice. The only downside is the noise from motorcycles on the street in rooms facing the road.

Unclean. On the first day, I found hair in the towel and the bedside table was very dirty. Most importantly, after sleeping, my body was itchy everywhere. The service staff were very nice and the room wasn't small. But the basic hygiene wasn't up to standard, so I won't choose this place again.

Hotel Nikko Osaka was absolutely the highlight of our family trip! We stayed in a newly renovated superior room, which was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The view from the window was amazing, and the room was more spacious than hotels of similar quality in Tokyo, yet more affordable. Our biggest thanks go to the hotel front desk staff. The Japanese staff clearly explained everything I needed to know in English. There was also a front office manager from Jiangxi, China, who, upon the airport bus's arrival, proactively and enthusiastically helped us with all our luggage, took a piece of trash I was holding, and escorted us to the bus. Her service was meticulous, thoughtful, and polite, and it deeply touched us. We hope the hotel can convey our gratitude to her through this review!

Pros: The hotel's location is superb. You can directly access the lobby from the subway without even exiting the station. Step downstairs and you're ready to explore. Daimaru Department Store and the pedestrian street are right across the road, making it incredibly convenient for shopping. The views from the higher floors of the hotel are also excellent. Cons: Check-in is handled centrally and often involves queues. The lobby itself has very limited seating. The main road outside is bustling, but at night, modified cars and motorcycles create a lot of noise, which is quite noticeable even on the higher floors. Highlight - On the first night, we asked the front desk for earplugs, and the staff member was very nice and thoughtful. However, on the second night, when we went to the front desk for earplugs again, the staff had changed and their attitude was terrible. At first, they said they didn't provide earplugs. When we mentioned they did the night before, they checked and then claimed they were out of stock. Their entire demeanor was impatient and I strongly suspect they were being dishonest. One star.

The room was small but clean and tidy, with a pleasant fragrance upon entering – perfect for two people. The staff were also great, patient, and helpful with luggage. Across the street from the hotel are Daimaru, Parco, and Shinsaibashi, making shopping incredibly convenient. The downside is the poor soundproofing. Foot traffic and conversations outside the door were very noisy, and there were noisy bikers on the street below until midnight.
