Amman Citadel

Here are the ruins of what was once the capital of the kingdom of Abbas Amun, dating back to the 11th century BC. The ruins of the palace were built in AD 720. The hall is quite spectacular, with a dome on top. You can walk into the hall to recall the history and feel the long river of history flowing in your blood. There are also cisterns, Byzantine churches, and the tall stone pillars that hold up the temple of Hercules.
