The hotel rooms are small and the price is high. The food is mediocre with limited variety, and the Japanese girls in the restaurant are unsmiling throughout, so their service needs improvement. (Whatever the reason, they must be working hard every day with a long face; poor people!) The open-air bath view is blocked by wooden boards, and there's no shower area, making the experience poor. The water temperature is hot enough. There's a small, decent museum in the lobby. Not recommended!

The service and facilities are good. The hot springs are divided into men's and women's time slots, and if you have enough time, you can soak in all the hot springs. Free massage chairs are also available in the hot springs. The hotel has a gift shop and a bar. Note that the hotel may not provide dinner, but there is a convenience store opposite the hotel.

The environment is tranquil, and the decor is very luxurious. The service is also very friendly. There are multiple hot springs to choose from, and the food quality is excellent. It offers great value for money and is very suitable for families.

The hot springs and food were excellent. The water temperature in the hot springs was just right—not too hot—allowing me to warm up slowly. The changing room was also spacious enough that I could even use a face mask. The only thing that bothered me was that the dining area was smoky due to the grilling, and the smell became increasingly noticeable.

This is a standard, established, large hot spring hotel. The lobby is beautifully decorated, the koi fish are charming, and the rooms are spacious. The hot springs are rather unremarkable, and the semi-buffet dinner was particularly disappointing. I've stayed at many onsen hotels with a stay and two meals option, and this one was quite subpar. The free shuttle bus from Sendai Station was a nice touch.

The staff were friendly, the hotel was grand, the hot spring pools were diverse, the breakfast and dinner were plentiful and included local specialties, and the rooms were comfortable and spacious. I stayed at the Kagetsu-kan and was very happy with the room with a bed.
