Shangri-La Yunbian View Homestay

Located within Dukezong Ancient City, very close to the Prayer Wheel, and super convenient with everything nearby. The underfloor heating was a real comfort. We were thrilled to see snow on our second day, which was a huge treat for us 'southern potatoes'!

This guesthouse is located in the old town with fantastic views. You can even see the prayer wheel right from your room. The owner is really nice, helped us with transfers and luggage. Seeing our kids were older, they even upgraded our room! The room had floor heating, a humidifier, and a projector. A special shout-out to the hairdryer – it's super powerful, great for long hair! Highly recommended!

The service was excellent. There was a staff member dedicated to transporting luggage and guests between the parking lot and the guesthouse. My bags were also carried in and out of the room, so the lack of an elevator didn't seem to be an issue. The room offered a direct view of the Giant Buddha Temple, which wasn't too far to walk to. However, a slight drawback was having to pass through a dimly lit alley at night. Additionally, for guests with severe altitude sickness, I recommend communicating with the guesthouse beforehand. The oxygen concentrator provided was a nasal cannula type, which was a bit inconvenient. I checked our unit, and it showed an oxygen concentration of 36%, which is really not enough. I only noticed this when we were leaving, so I didn't get a chance to ask the guesthouse if it was just our room's unit that wasn't set up correctly or if this was standard.
