Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba

Location is one of the best things about this hotel. It’s reasonably convenient and within walking distance from both Namba Station and Shinsaibashi Station. However, compared to my previous stay at another Tokyu Stay property, this hotel was quite disappointing in terms of facilities and room amenities. I was expecting a similar experience, but unlike other Tokyu Stay hotels, there were very few amenities provided. There was no coffee machine at lobby, and I also noticed there was no humidifier in the room, which would have been useful during a stay in Osaka. For the price, I expected a little more from the room facilities. Another thing that stood out was the lighting. The walkways and corridors of the hotel were extremely dark, which made the overall atmosphere feel a little gloomy and less welcoming. Overall: Convenient location, but the facilities and room amenities could definitely be improved.

Location is excellent Staff aren’t exactly accommodating. We asked for complimentary late check due to poor sleep with the outside noise. They were extremely reluctant and said we had to leave by 11:30am latest when there was a lady next to us who was upgraded to 12pm check out without any issues Rooms are smaller than expected. We did ask for two single beds, however they were unable to accommodate . Facilities are standard. Again, location is great.

Pros: - great and convenient location - clean bed and room - friendly staff Cons: - pillow is too soft and small so it's uncomfortable - bed also feels like it's sinking in - lighting is not great - not sure if it's the lighting which makes the dust look more obvious but I can always see dust flying around especially when I use the bath towel

Close to shopping area although train stations require some walking. Spacious and comfortable room.

Prime location. Eateries and shopping near hotel. Hotel room lighting is dimmed in comparison to other hotel. The lift and walkway is dimmed. There's no closet in the room however few hangers were provided. The sink is in the room and not in the bathroom.There's a washing machine which has a loud chime, which might disturb your sleep if it was used at night. Check in was fast however I was not informed on the welcome drinks and free amenities during checked in. So it was missed out. There was a picture frame hung on top of one of the bed which i felt that it was inappropriate, and posed as a safety hazard to the one sleeping underneath the picture frame. Another consideration for friends sharing twin room as there was no privacy due to shower area has no hook or shelf to place clothing. So basically have to change out in the room or in the toilet. Room size is good for big luggages for a twin sharing room. Overall, still a good option as the location is fantastic! Clean and quiet rooms too.
