Vessel Inn Sapporo Nakajimakoen

The hotel's breakfast lives up to its reputation; there are eight kinds of seafood daily, and while the quality isn't top-notch, the quantity is generous and filling. The salmon roe, in particular, is quite good. Another nice touch is the all-you-can-eat ice cream available in the lobby from 7 PM, and free drinks after 2 PM. The room was on the smaller side, with the single room only having a slightly larger bathroom than a typical business hotel. What I wasn't too happy about were the old and thin towels. The bath towel even had a slight odor on the first night, as if it hadn't been washed. Luckily, I brought my own disposable towel. Amenities can be picked up in the lobby and are quite comprehensive.

The hotel is located near Nakajima-Kōen subway station, just three stops from Sapporo Station. The hotel lobby offers complimentary rice and iced water, and free ice cream is available from 7 PM to 9 PM.

The self-service breakfast was fantastic! 👍 There were plenty of washing machines and dryers, which was very convenient. 👍 And the free ice cream in the lobby was as good as any award-winning brand! 😋

The location is super convenient, right next to the subway station, though there aren't many dining options nearby. The room was small, but perfectly fine for one person. The cleanliness was good, and breakfast was delicious. My only slight disappointment was that I thought there would be an airport shuttle right outside the hotel, but after checking in, I found out there were only two morning buses, which wasn't suitable for my afternoon flight. Luckily, taking the subway and then transferring to the JR line was also easy.

The hotel facilities are complete, and both the room and public areas are clean and tidy. The staff are very friendly and explain things clearly and understandably. The lobby offers 24-hour self-service drinks, with beverages, coffee, and ice cream available during specific hours. The breakfast spread is rich and definitely worth trying.
