The Ritz-Carlton Sanya, Yalong Bay

Absolutely loved the Ritz-Carlton! The hotel's architecture has a wonderful Southeast Asian vibe. The rooms are incredibly spacious with fantastic views. They have several amazing pools, and beach access is super convenient. The service, as expected, was impeccable. They reached out before I even left Shanghai and provided excellent service throughout my stay. A big thank you to Jalen for their thoughtful and comprehensive care. This was my first time vacationing in Sanya. The day before, I stayed at another hotel that was more value for money, but after that, we stayed at the Ritz-Carlton. We were greeted by the very lovely Xiao Die~ Her service was absolutely outstanding; she spoke softly and was able to accommodate all our requests. She even helped me sort out a room booking error. For our wedding anniversary, they surprised us with a small cake. When I mentioned I wasn't used to a soft bed, she even arranged for the housekeeping staff to change it to a harder mattress. As for the hotel itself, being an older, established hotel, it does have a slightly aged feel, but the cleanliness was impeccable. They cleaned the room several times a day. My jewelry was on the table, and the staff would thoughtfully place a towel underneath it, which was a very nice touch. And I have to say, they were incredibly generous with bottled water – you could just grab one anytime, which was a fantastic experience. No need to call and wait for more to be delivered after finishing one. The public areas are absolutely gorgeous and very close to the sea, just a short walk away. The complimentary travel photoshoot turned out beautifully. Our package also included sea fishing, which was definitely worth trying; even as beginners, we easily caught seven or eight fish. The hotel offers many activities, so you can sign up for different ones each day and never get bored even if you don't leave the hotel. Finally, the breakfast, to be honest, was a bit disappointing. The variety was limited, and the quality was just average, not even as good as the Shangri-La Qingdao in Shandong during the off-season for 600-700 RMB. The 1000 RMB hotel we stayed at the day before had a similar level of breakfast. However, you can't beat the beautiful public areas, proximity to the sea, and the absolutely unparalleled service. The extra money spent definitely shows where it goes. Excellent, I'll be back next time!

Our stay at the Ritz was absolutely delightful! I must give a special shout-out to the housekeeping lady – she was incredibly thorough and meticulous, cleaning every nook and cranny of the room. Her service was truly reliable and responsible. The hotel's facilities are extensive, with spacious grounds and breathtaking views; you can enjoy stunning scenery everywhere you look. We also tried the hotel's photography service, and the photographer was excellent at finding the best angles, delivering photos that exceeded our expectations and looked fantastic. The overall resort vibe was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel for your next trip!

The Sanya Ritz-Carlton has completely redefined my understanding of what a 'vacation' should be. I have to give a shout-out to our butler, Nicole. From our first phone call before arrival, she meticulously arranged every detail. And the kids? They were in pure paradise! The kids' club had new activities every day – coconut leaf weaving, bubble parties, water carpets – they never wanted to leave the pool! The luxurious facilities speak for themselves, but what truly touched us was the genuine smile in every staff member's eyes. I highly recommend this to any family trying to decide where to go. It fulfills all your fantasies of both 'luxury' and 'peace of mind.' 📍Perfect location, prime spot in Yalong Bay. We'll definitely be back!

My wife and I visited Sanya for the first time, and based on a friend's recommendation, we booked a stay at The Ritz-Carlton Sanya. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay! The experience was top-notch! Both the service and the facilities truly live up to its reputation as a leading hotel in Sanya. I especially want to commend our butler, Olivia! From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly attentive, asking us what activities we were interested in and when we'd be available. She also provided a detailed introduction to the hotel's services and even gave us a little gift during our stay – super thoughtful! Whatever we needed, she arranged it for us in a snap. Kudos to The Ritz-Carlton Sanya and Olivia! It was a truly memorable vacation.

The hotel boasts a Chinese palace-style architecture, giving it a grand feel. While the facilities might not be ultra-modern, the soft skills and service are absolutely top-notch. The butler service started even before check-in, and the hotel's duty manager was incredibly helpful, promptly resolving any issues we had, which made our vacation experience fantastic and truly lifted our spirits! I also have to mention the Ritz-Carlton's dining; it's just as outstanding as their service. The room cleaning and various services were all delivered seamlessly and discreetly, making our stay feel very thoughtful. The staff's service awareness is truly excellent.

I booked two rooms for two nights. Firstly, I was very satisfied with the rooms; they were spacious and the cleanliness was excellent. The large bathtub was a hit with the kids! Secondly, the hotel breakfast was delicious, especially the hot and sour beef noodles – I had two bowls every day! Absolutely delicious! Thirdly, the indoor swimming pool is mostly shaded in the afternoons, which is great because you don't have to worry about sunburn! We also tried paddleboarding, which was a lot of fun! Overall, this hotel is perfectly suited for families with young children. While it doesn't have a huge array of kids' facilities, it's more than enough for toddlers. And perhaps because it's a bit pricier than other places, it's not as crowded, making it quieter and more comfortable. I'll definitely come back again!

Eirik, the Executive Lounge butler, provided excellent service throughout our stay. We were upgraded to a full sea-view room, and they arranged a pick-up from Yalong Bay High-Speed Rail Station. My child loved the conch shells, and they brought two every day – all the little details were perfect. I highly recommend the hotel's sea fishing trip. The captain was great, and I didn't get seasick at all (everyone else on the trip did, so it might be an individual thing, but my child and I seem to adapt well to sea travel). Even though I had some work to do during my vacation, they managed the printing of my documents very well. The hotel's sour and spicy beef noodles lived up to their reputation, and the paid buffet had a great atmosphere with a live singer. Just a few minor drawbacks: The Ritz-Carlton Sanya seems to focus a bit too much on families, which unfortunately means some of the facilities and service quality don't quite match the hotel's positioning. For example, I was really surprised that the hairdryer wasn't a Dyson. Also, there were always some really noisy kids in the Executive Lounge, and no one seemed to manage them, which really spoiled the atmosphere. The lounge also didn't offer à la carte Western main courses (which the Ritz-Carlton Harbin and Tianjin do much better). I suggest the hotel consider categorizing its guests, perhaps separating those with children under 15 from those with children over 15. However, overall, these minor issues didn't overshadow a truly enjoyable holiday.
