Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort

Great food, great stay, excellent butler service, overall fantastic service. I come to Hainan every year and always stay at Park Hyatt. The beach is absolutely beautiful, and so are the pools. Highly recommend it whether you're traveling with family, for business, or just a leisure trip.

Pros: Absolutely stunning! The views are incredible, and the architectural design is really aesthetic. The public areas are gorgeous, the beach has soft sand, and the sea is incredibly blue. Plus, all the staff are super enthusiastic. The sea view was amazing – it set such a high standard that other hotels we stayed at afterwards felt a bit lacking. Later, on our flight back to Changsha, my wife spotted the Park Hyatt from the plane because its night lights were so dazzling. She said she wants to stay here again next time, haha. Cons: The hotel map is way too complicated. It took me a whole day to figure out the layout. I'd suggest the hotel updates it with a simpler floor plan; there's too much marked on it, and many parts are on different levels. Also, check-in took far too long. We only got our room around 3 PM, even though we arrived at 12:30 PM. It was only when a pool staff member saw my wife falling asleep that they prompted the front desk to speed things up. The table in the room was quite dusty, probably because they rushed, but I was too tired to say anything. However, the turndown service later included birthday decorations, and I noticed the table had been wiped clean. The happy hour in the afternoon had a limited selection of drinks and the snacks were just okay. Plus, you had to wait for the better outdoor seats. Getting a taxi out requires booking at least 20 minutes in advance, so transportation isn't very convenient, though that does mean high privacy – a double-edged sword. Finally, in room 5127, the shower switch in the bathroom wasn't properly aligned.

At first glance, I found the design dated and leaning towards old-fashioned luxury business style. However, I soon discovered the service was top-notch. The hotel butler was incredibly responsive, and all the staff were proactive and enthusiastic. My room was always cleaned and tidy, and they were very generous with bottled water, placing it by the bedside, sink, and on the desk – a true testament to their attention to detail. The buffet breakfast at Yue Restaurant was decent, and the Western restaurant also served good food. The only slight disappointment was the Tea House Black Pearl restaurant, which was quite ordinary. The SPA at the Aqua Spa was excellent with professional techniques. I tried the warm island massage and thoroughly enjoyed the entire relaxing experience.

This was my first trip to Sanya, and I chose the Park Hyatt based on online recommendations. My overall experience exceeded expectations – the service, food, environment, public areas, and cleanliness were all top-notch. The butler was incredibly thoughtful and attentive, fulfilling every request. The beach sand was exceptionally fine and soft. I'll definitely be back! One thing worth mentioning: I ordered two coconuts, and the waiter brought young coconuts. I took a sip and found them sour and astringent, so I told them the taste wasn't right. They promptly replaced them with very sweet ones. I thought that was the end of it, but someone even came specifically to explain the situation to me. I truly felt the service was outstanding!

From August 22nd to 25th, I stayed in two room types, 1121 and 1112, in Building 1. One was a twin room on the 12th floor, and the other was a suite on the 11th floor. After checking into the suite, I felt like I was opening the door to a painting; I was stunned and left with great reluctance. First, the sea view is unbeatable. Every day, I couldn't resist taking countless photos of the sea and sky in various shades, and the curves drawn by the speeding red jet skis on the water. The weather forecast in Sanya was inaccurate; out of the 4 days I stayed, 2 were sunny, allowing us to enjoy the sea view from our room, go boating, and ride jet skis on the beach. One day was overcast, perfect for taking photos, exploring the hotel, and collecting seashells. It rained for a short while on the day we left. Second, this is an art museum, a quiet hermit waiting for guests in the mountains. The designer is brilliant, capturing countless dynamic landscapes for guests to discover. Third, if possible, definitely stay in a suite. The quality of the amenities in the suite is superior to that of standard rooms. Additionally, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast at the observation deck, with 7 or 8 ways to prepare eggs – I only briefly captured three here. Compared to other hotels, it's exquisite and enticing, making me miss it whenever I think of it after returning home. I won't even boast about the 130-meter pool or China's best white sand beach, because it's the unique and well-deserving Park Hyatt. I hope it continues to be profitable, keeps improving, and gets better and better. My suggestion is to provide professional training for the butlers; one butler was replaced, and while they were already enthusiastic, they need to be even more thoughtful and considerate of guests.

Our three-night stay at Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay was fantastic! The private white sand beach was quiet and uncrowded, giving us exclusive access to a crystal-clear bay. The public areas were well-designed, and the infinity pool had an amazing vibe. Our full ocean view room, with its half-coconut grove, half-ocean scenery, was incredibly therapeutic. The hotel's dining quality was excellent, and the service was professional and attentive. The staff were patient and friendly, especially our butler, the 'Enjoyment Ambassador,' who was incredibly responsive and thoughtful with every detail. This place isn't for lively entertainment but rather for an immersive, relaxing getaway, which perfectly suited our needs.

First round of minibar drinks and snacks: I booked a Garden Courtyard Room, and the minibar can be refilled. Delivery was quick, and the snacks were delicious. The room was generally clean and tidy. Given that I'm pregnant, they basically met every request, which I really appreciated. I especially want to mention Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort's travel photography service; the staff for this service were much more polite and helpful than those at a certain luxury hotel in East China. If you have a pregnant woman in your family, Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort is a great place for a vacation; the overall service attitude and atmosphere are excellent.
