The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne

Seriously, I've never stayed at such a terrible hotel. The service attitude was bad and the hygiene was awful. It was truly horrible 👎. The general manager of this place should resign. I'll never step foot in a 5-star hotel again. I'm serious, the team is just that bad. I complained about the poor hygiene, even provided photos, and they still did nothing. I really want to give them a piece of my mind.

One of the best hotels in Melbourne, with a famous bakery right downstairs. There's a supermarket and train station across the road, and the free tram makes it easy to get anywhere.

The super amazing view that greets you upon entering the 80th-floor lobby is truly spectacular. The heated pool and its view are also top-notch, and the kids had a blast. Our room on the 71st floor also had a fantastic view, and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

The service was excellent, and the views were beautiful. The valet parking was well worth the tip, and they were very meticulous with the arrangements. Overall, a great experience! Many staff members knew a little Chinese, and there were even Chinese-speaking staff, which was a nice touch!

Environment: Great, the best hotel I've stayed at in Melbourne. Cleanliness: Clean. Facilities: Very good, and the minibar is a nice touch. I booked a room with a view, and the view was incredibly open, showcasing all of Melbourne's bustling cityscape. It's also not too far to walk to Chinatown, and you can easily reach many famous attractions and shopping malls by city walk.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel. First off, the room size, decor, amenities, design, and layout were all spot-on, though the toilet cubicle was a bit small. The service was also very comfortable and not at all forced. Every time the room was cleaned, it felt meticulously done and thoughtful, arranged according to my habits. The lobby's ambiance and the staff's service attitude were excellent. The location is also fantastic. Most places are within walking distance because public transport is quite slow here. There's a Coles supermarket directly opposite, which is super convenient for shopping, and it's open late, perfect for a late-night haul. The night views were absolutely stunning, and I even got to see a sea of clouds.

The hotel is right opposite Southern Cross Station – super convenient, especially coming from the airport via Skybus. You just get off at Southern Cross, cross the road, and you're there. There are tons of restaurants around, so finding food is a breeze. You can easily walk to all the different streets in the city, and if you get tired, there's free transport in the CBD – just hop on and off whenever you like, with a free stop right downstairs. The hotel lobby is on the 80th floor, and the hotel itself is beautiful and clean, with very attractive rooms. Everyone, from the doormen downstairs to the front desk staff, housekeeping, and restaurant team, provides service with a smile. Even with a slight language barrier, they are all very friendly and I'm really satisfied – it truly offers five-star comfort. The only thing I'd mention is that the steak and salad at Atria restaurant really fell short of expectations.
