Tourist Area of Sun Yat-Sen's Hometown

Sun Yat-sen's Hometown Tourist Area is located in Cuiheng Village, Nanlang Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province. It is adjacent to the Pearl River Estuary in the east, Wugui Mountain in the west, and Hong Kong and Macao. It is about 20 kilometers away from Zhongshan City and about 90 kilometers away from Guangzhou City. The tourist area covers an area of 3.15 square kilometers and includes five core scenic spots: Sun Yat-sen's Former Residence Memorial Hall, Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan Film and Television City, Xinhai Revolution Memorial Park and Litoujian Mountain, which fully display Sun Yat-sen's life trajectory from birth to revolutionary activities. Sun Yat-sen's Former Residence Memorial Hall was established in 1956. It is now open to the public, including the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Exhibition Area, Cuiheng Folk House Exhibition Area, Farming Culture Exhibition Area, Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Area, Xinhai Revolution Memorial Park and Yang Yinlu Haodong Memorial Exhibition Area, forming a display system with the theme of "Sun Yat-sen and the social environment in which he grew up", combining historical monumentality and folklore, and combining material cultural heritage with intangible cultural heritage. Zhongshan Film and Television City, one of the top ten film and television cities in China, has four scenic spots in China, Japan, Britain and the United States and an exhibition hall area. It condenses the memorial sites where the great man Sun Yat-sen engaged in revolutionary activities in China and around the world. The Xinhai Revolution Memorial Park was built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution. The granite diary wall placed in the center of the park highlights the pioneering spirit of democratic revolutionaries headed by Sun Yat-sen during the Xinhai Revolution. Litoujian Mountain, located to the north of Cuiheng Ancient Village, is named after its shape resembling a plowshare. It is the peak of Cuiheng. The tombs of Sun Yat-sen's family are buried on the mountain. Climbing the mountain and looking far away, you can overlook the entire picture of Sun Yat-sen's hometown tourist area. Cuiheng Village, a famous historical and cultural village in China, is famous for Sun Yat-sen. There are former residences of celebrities such as Yang Yin's Former Residence and Lu Haodong's Former Residence in the village, and it preserves relatively complete traditional Lingnan-style houses.
