I really liked the guesthouse. The beds are clean, there are many showers available 24h and a kitchen. Pretty standard guesthouse in Japan I would say. The only thing is that it is a bit far from the center. It is about a 30-40 min walk from Kyoto station and another 20-30 min walk from the shopping district Karawamachi/Teramachi. Buses are pretty efficient and quick and it is right next to the Kyomizu temple district though.I would probably stay there again.

One of the worst hostel I have stayed. I have to put on my own bedsheet and blanket cover. The wall on the upper deck are not high, I literally able to see my neighbour sleeping if I were to stand up on my bed (this is a mixed gender room) so this is very concerning issue. There is no lift in the building so I had to climb 4 levels of stairs every single time, go to shower need climb down to level 2. Locker space is so small that I barely fit my laptop in there.
Toilets were dirty and bidet wasn’t working.

It's a little too expensive for the quality of the service. It's really inconvenient with the sinks and shower rooms being on the second floor and your room is on the fourth floor. The staff spoke english which was good but aside from having to put the bedsheets on yourself, the cleaning staff didn't do their job properly with trash still on the bed.

when you stay in the 3rd floor, there is not even a sink to wash your hands and face. Thats the only negative side

It very close to kiyomizutera but you have to take 5-10 minute to walk to closest train station. But you can get bus because it drive along the road in front of hostel. Staff can speak english very good. Public space is good too. They have cafe that you can get food or coffee in good price.
For improvement
- you have to have ceiling on upper room. It feel not privacy and I can hear everything.
- I can heard people talking outside off the room from my bed is at upper and close to the wall. Maybe wall too thin or add soundproofing.
