Stonefield Castle Hotel ‘A Bespoke Hotel’

The castle and its setting are magnificent and the restaurant has one of the best views in scotland ( and hence the world!).

This was our third stay at Stonefield castle. It is a beautiful building with a nice bit of history. The grounds are extensive with scenic views and wonderful walks. The staff at the hotel were courteous and friendly. There were many lounge rooms and a well stocked bar. It is a handy place for a short stay near Tarbert if you are touring the Loch Fyne area. We shall return.

Room was cramped, felt like a travel lodge bolted to a nice old building. The curtains did not block much light, the pole being very wonky. The bathroom was not of a very good standard. For the price we expected more than just a basic stay. Breakfast service was unusual to say the least - we arrived early to the restaurant and asked if it would be OK. The waiter responded with "well, I can hardly kick you out can I?".

The Stonefield Castle hotel has a peaceful, charming & relaxing feel. We have stayed many times. It's set in a beautiful location with fabulous views to loch Fyne & surrounded by mature gardens with lots of period charm. The staff are friendly, welcoming & attentive. The rooms are clean, tastefully decorated to mirror the hotel's family history & era. The breakfast is excellent made with top local quality produce. The bar is well stocked with a great choice for all tastes especially whiskies. There are bars & restaurants in the town only a short drive away wirh an efficient local taxi service. The town has a warm friendly feel with lots to explore. Love the drive to Tarbert and our stay at the hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Such a fantastic stay and sad to be leaving! A beautiful hotel, set in lovely surroundings. The staff were fantastic very helpful from reception to bar to restaurant. Room was beautiful clean and hotel throughout. Looking forward to staying again

Beaitiful castle in a stunning setting. The rhododendrons were all in bloom and there are magical walks along the paths through the grounds to the nearby island. Dinner and breakfast were delicious with fresh local produce. Staff were all lovely to us and we had a really special weekend.

Breakfast was freshly cooked, bar was stocked well with spirits. Staff were 100% great bunch of people
