Checked in on Mid-Autumn Festival day, and the front desk gave us a box of mooncakes, which was a nice gesture. The front desk agent said they upgraded our room to a larger one, but it didn't match the photos we saw when booking. When I asked a housekeeper about it, they were evasive. The front desk then explained that the photos on Ctrip were of non-executive floor rooms that had been renovated, and that my room was on an executive floor with executive lounge access. I still don't quite understand the discrepancy. Room facilities: The lack of a luggage rack was inconvenient, and no power outlets by the bedside table was also a bit bothersome. Hygiene: There was a squashed mosquito from a previous guest on the wardrobe glass, and some leftover liquid on the hand soap bottle.

Had an amazing stay at Sofitel Nanjing! The hotel boasts an elegant ambiance with a lobby that exudes chic French luxury, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The high-floor views are incredible—you can overlook the city skyline of Nanjing and catch a glimpse of Xuanwu Lake in the distance, with the sunset being particularly breathtaking. Both the front desk and housekeeping teams were attentive, thoughtful, and very prompt in responding to requests. The entire stay was smooth and relaxing. Highly recommended if you're visiting Nanjing!

The hotel's location is really convenient, right next to the subway station, so getting around by metro is super easy. I had initially booked another hotel for the National Day holiday but found it unsatisfactory, so I switched to this one, expecting at least a five-star experience in all aspects. **Pros:** I first booked an Executive Room for the second day of my trip, as the system showed no twin rooms available for the first day. Later, a twin room became available, so I quickly booked it, though it wasn't an Executive Room. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very accommodating and upgraded me directly to an Executive Room, explaining it would save me the hassle of changing rooms later. On the first day, I went for breakfast around 9 AM and returned to my room at 10 AM to find it already made up. The cleaning lady greeted me with a particularly cheerful demeanor. The Executive Lounge service was excellent – they were attentive to every request, and the lounge itself was quiet and spotless. **Cons:** The most disappointing aspect was the two days of buffet breakfast. On the first day, I arrived a bit late, and the place was chaotic and overcrowded. Despite appearing large, the variety of food was quite limited. The omelet chef was simply churning out fried eggs. When I asked for an omelet, which I consider a standard offering at a five-star hotel, he first said no, then immediately followed with “wait a moment.” I then told him not to bother. The next day, I arrived an hour earlier and saw him making an omelet for someone else who also requested one, and he readily agreed. I looked at the finished product, and it honestly looked terrible. I don't know his reasoning, whether he was judging people or just unwilling to make one for me. Also, when grabbing plates and bowls, I constantly had to pick through them to find clean ones, as many had stains or were dirty. For a hotel of this caliber, having to sift through tableware is unacceptable. A minor incident, like a single fly, can spoil the whole experience, as the saying goes. In today's market, especially in the service industry, it's all about service. Such a drop in standards really needs improvement.

After dinner, we could walk to Yihe Road for a stroll. The atmosphere under the sycamore trees was wonderful, full of artistic charm, and the trendy Pioneer Bookstore is also in this neighborhood. Downstairs, there's even a two-story Starbucks. It was very pleasant to wander around in the evening. We traveled as a family of three, and the room was spacious. All the children's bedding and amenities were provided, including pre-arranged small slippers and a special toiletries set for kids. These thoughtful details made staying with children much easier. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel breakfast offered a rich variety, including not only Western dishes but also many authentic Nanjing snacks. There were plenty of choices, and even our child found things they liked. The staff were warm and attentive, and requests were responded to quickly. As an established five-star hotel with mature facilities, the overall value for money is very high. It's highly recommended for family trips. Overall, we were very satisfied with this stay!
