The Balmoral Hotel

There was a £54 service fee charged upon checkout that was optional but i wasn’t truly given the option if i had to be honest. Felt like i was coerced into paying since they already had my card. There was also a staff that came by the room like about 40 mins before to remind me to check out, which was a first for me. There was also a complimentary voucher, a welcoming tea of some sort upon checking in which i opted to use it the next day since i had to rush to join a tour that evening but was told by the staff, after i’ve waited and sat inside the restaurant for about 15 minutes, that it wasn’t valid. I wouldn’t mind much if they told me from the get go that the voucher was expired. Other than those two, the hotel was all right. The food and location are great. It was an expensive hotel but the experience wasn’t really it.

The Balmoral Hotel exceeded all expectations. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of Edinburgh with stunning views of the city. The room was elegantly furnished, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. Staff were attentive, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The amenities were top-notch and the overall atmosphere was one of timeless luxury. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a premium stay in Edinburgh. Will definitely return!
