I had a mixed but overall pleasant stay at Chulia Heritage. The room itself was clean and looked like it was newly renovated, though the amenities provided are very basic. One thing that could be improved in the bathroom is adding a shower door or curtain—currently, water gets everywhere and it doesn't separate the toilet and sink area well.
The biggest challenge was the reception area, which has no AC. Standing out there for more than 10 minutes in the hot, humid weather was really tough. I truly hope the owner considers installing a ceiling fan or even some proper portable cooling fans around the reception desk to make it comfortable for guests checking in and out.
That being said, I am giving this hotel 5 stars strictly because of the superb receptionists! They made a massive difference. A special shoutout to Natasha 🥰❤️—she was absolutely wonderful! The hospitality here is top-notch thanks to the team.
