We encountered torrential rain in Guangxi while visiting the terraced fields, and there was a very difficult mountain road. The drive up to the guesthouse was particularly challenging, with a steep section that almost ruined the car. I recommend visiting when the weather is good for a safer trip. The scenery at the guesthouse's location is definitely beautiful, and the farm-to-table dishes are delicious. Overall, the service could still use a slight improvement.

The room was excellent, with stunning views of the terraced fields right outside. It was very clean and well-equipped. There are tons of guesthouses in Longji, but this one is located at the top of the mountain. It's about a 15-20 minute drive up a mountain road from the Dazhai parking lot. It's very close to Observation Deck #1, though you'll need to walk a bit downhill to reach the other one. Coming here during the Dragon Boat Festival wasn't ideal; it rained non-stop, and we couldn't see the sunrise or the mirrored reflection in the terraces. The owner was very kind and upgraded our room, and the breakfast was also good.

I brought my friends and family here. The breakfast was delicious, and the bamboo chicken and bamboo rice for dinner were also great. It poured rain the next day, and the owner kindly lent us blankets, otherwise we would have frozen!

Almost missed this place because it was not in the ranking list. It is a hidden gem. To me what make this place stands out compared with the many highly rated lodging in the vicinity is its design (the unit I booked has a floor to ceiling window, raised platform w cushion seat and bean bag to chill and have tea, no silly bath tub at window). The view is to die for, exactly same as the photo displayed in trip.com (I thot the photo was enhanced but turned out it is exactly the same on site. Even the photo I took looks surreal. The rice terrace looks so near and the cascading stepped layers look so distinct) and the price is less and even half of the other listing. Definitely value for money. Only downside is the shower water pressure is a bit low and hot water needed a while and smart WC not calibrated well w zesty sensor at work. Additional plus point, sunrise scene from your room if the clouds is in your favour. Good local home cooked food and attentive service from owner and family. Very near and easy stroll to lookout 1 and but tough yet short trail to lookout 2.

For a guesthouse, the decor and facilities are absolutely top-notch, and the location is excellent. You can literally open your window to a beautiful view, making it one of the best spots at Longji Rice Terraces. The room is spacious enough, and the owners are very down-to-earth and genuine. Parking is also quite convenient, though it might be a bit tricky for new drivers.

This place is probably as deep into Longji as you can get. We arrived on a rainy day, and the mountain paths were muddy and difficult to navigate. Luckily, the owner was incredibly helpful and even drove us up and down the steepest, most challenging part of the trail – really appreciate that! Our room had a tatami mat and floor-to-ceiling windows that looked directly onto the terraced fields. It was a shame it was so foggy and cloudy, I could only imagine the view.
