I often seek out good hotels, even staying in five-star or four-figure ones. Nowadays, I prefer niche designer hotels with unique character and soul. This hotel boasts excellent overall design taste, being a converted former residence of a wealthy local family. 1. It offers a江南 (Jiangnan) garden ambiance, and the rooms have a natural aesthetic with warm, refined materials. 2. The staff are soft-spoken, attentive, and thoughtful. 3. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the ancient town, making it very convenient for exploring. I even popped into a nearby clothing shop and bought a Qipao, though I regret not having a companion to take my photos. I've included pictures of the courtyard, but I forgot to take photos of the room.

Traveling to Wuxi with a friend, we stayed at Boguang Pavilion, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. The environment is impeccable. Tucked away in the old Nanchang Street, this Jiangnan ancient courtyard boasts unique charm, with beautiful scenery at every turn. The room is well-maintained, clean, and fully equipped. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The service is thoughtful and meticulous. Check-in instructions were clear, and communication was smooth throughout our stay. It's incredibly convenient for exploring the ancient canal and old street right outside, saving us travel time. The courtyard itself has a great ambiance, perfect for a leisurely coffee break. From the environment, hygiene, and facilities to the service, there's nothing to fault. I highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting Wuxi; it offers an excellent experience.

My stay here was excellent! The guesthouse was clean, tidy, and beautifully decorated with a cozy, quality feel. The bedding was so soft, I slept incredibly well. The host was very welcoming, sent check-in instructions in advance, and was quick to respond to any questions. It's conveniently located for getting around and dining. In my free time, I even enjoyed a quiet and pleasant coffee using the cafe cups provided. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and was a fantastic base for my trip. I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

At this price point, is this the standard I should expect? The hygiene was subpar. I wanted to take a bath, but the bathtub had hair in it that hadn't been cleaned, which was disgusting to look at. The sensor trash can wasn't working, and there were used earplugs left in the drawer. Overall, the value for money is average. I wouldn't recommend it.

Tucked away in an old courtyard house in Nanxiatang, the building retains the charm of its historical architecture, while the interior boasts a minimalist and comfortable design – a perfect balance of old and new. The hygiene was impeccable, and the bedding was very comfortable. The housekeeper was attentive without being overly enthusiastic. They contacted me in advance with directions and were always responsive. Every corner of the place was picturesque, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway. The breakfast was also delicious.

My friend came to Wuxi for a visit, and I booked this hotel for their convenience while exploring Nanchang Street. They absolutely raved about it after their stay. The old courtyard setting is incredibly photogenic, with its green brick courtyard, pond, and koi, exuding a strong Jiangnan (regions south of the Yangtze River) ambiance. While the streets outside are bustling, the courtyard itself is remarkably quiet, offering a perfect blend of activity and tranquility. The room was very clean, featuring a new Chinese-style design and excellent amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. The butler service was exceptionally thoughtful; they communicated about check-in, parking, and provided recommendations for local attractions in advance, and were always responsive. The breakfast included Wuxi's specialty xiaolongbao (soup dumplings). Overall, the experience was fantastic. I'll definitely book this hotel again if friends visit in the future. Highly recommended!

I chose a hotel that seemed good for my business trip, but the issues I found upon entering really didn't justify the price. The shower drain didn't empty properly, so water would pool. When showering, the main part of the showerhead sprayed hot water, but the sides sprayed cold water – a truly uncomfortable experience. The water stains in the cups (pictured in image one and two) could have easily been cleaned, and there was standing water and stains in the kettle. The carpet was pitch black, and there was dust accumulated on the bed frame. The hygiene condition was genuinely concerning. The only good thing was the breakfast!

Excellent location, right next to Nanchang Street. The room was clean and comfortable, and the environment was quiet and pleasant. The housekeeper was warm and attentive, and even proactively upgraded our room on a weekday. The service was beyond five-star, highly recommended!
