Dunhuang Hotel, a castle in the desert! The decor is truly grand, with charming camel motifs everywhere. Having breakfast at the Stargazing Pavilion with views of Mingsha Mountain is absolutely stunning, and this experience alone makes the room rate worth it! It's only a 5-minute drive to the scenic area, so the location is superb. The Chinese food is also delicious. The only downside is that the rooms are a bit small; if you're traveling with kids, I'd suggest they consider offering some larger family suites. Overall, highly recommended and a highlight for accommodation in Dunhuang! ✨

Although the room decor is a bit dated, it's very clean and comfortable. The 68 yuan buffet is incredibly good value for money; one plate of shabu-shabu meat is a generous portion, and with individual hot pots, two people can easily get three plates of meat along with vegetables and bean products and eat till they're stuffed.

I stayed one night at Dunhuang Villa before leaving, and it was truly amazing. The breakfast was absolutely impressive, and the location is excellent; I doubt even the newer, more expensive hotels can compare. For dinner, I was too tired from visiting the Yulin Grottoes, so I ate directly at the hotel, and it was delicious. The front desk staff and lobby attendant were all very friendly, professional, and warm. Although the room was a bit small, all the necessary details were well taken care of. The charm of an established hotel is definitely present, making for a comfortable stay. The shuttle driver was also very polite and provided great service. Next time I come to Dunhuang, I'll definitely stay for more days.

The environment here is very unique. On our first night in Dunhuang, they even gave us two small white camels with bells. The breakfast was decent; the noodles were hand-pulled on the spot and had a great chewiness. The dishes were also delicious, perfectly seasoned. The hotel is standalone and not in the city center, but it's still very close and quiet. We could even catch the sunrise right from the hotel in the morning! 👏

An excellent hotel! Enjoying breakfast and afternoon tea at Zhaixing Pavilion with a view of Mingsha Mountain was surprisingly wonderful. All the staff provided exceptional service too. The hotel rooms weren't as small as described online, and the buffet hotpot and hand-pulled lamb were both delicious.

The hotel's location is super convenient for visiting Mingsha Mountain. The breakfast at the hotel's Xingxing Pavilion was excellent, especially enjoying it outdoors while gazing at Mingsha Mountain in the morning – truly a wonderful experience. The hotel staff were also very welcoming and even gave us Dunhuang camel plush toys and apricot peel tea.

This place is conveniently located near the middle gate of Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake. It's a few minutes by taxi or a 20-minute walk. Make sure you don't go to the wrong gate, or it'll take much longer, and getting a taxi back will be tough. Getting a taxi is easy from the middle gate! They have a self-service laundry room and even gifted us two white camels and two coffees! Plus, there's an all-you-can-eat hotpot buffet with beef and lamb for just 68 yuan!

I checked in on September 5th, and the price was almost 1300. I just want to say, it was extremely bad value for money. It felt like paying 1300 to stay in a guesthouse. Luckily, I only stayed one night; if I had stayed two, I would have demanded a full refund! The moment I stepped into the hotel, I had a bad feeling, and I was right! Firstly, the service was mediocre, just average. Secondly, we arrived at noon and ordered room service. A plate of vegetarian dumplings for over 30 yuan – I have good reason to suspect they were frozen. And they were served on a plastic plate! After charging a 20% service fee, couldn't they at least use a white porcelain bowl? That wouldn't cost much, would it? The other dishes weren't very good either. Thirdly, the bedding was truly unbearable! I brought disposable bedding, and I didn't need to use it at any other hotel, only at yours! It's genuinely worse than an economy hotel! The hotel is old, and the hardware can't be changed, but couldn't you at least use better soft furnishings? The bath towels were thin and old. Surely, it wouldn't cost much to get better quality ones. I've traveled a lot and I'm not very particular, but your bedding and bath towels were the first that I simply couldn't bring myself to use! Fourthly, I booked this hotel thinking it was close to Mingsha Mountain, worried about getting a taxi at night. But it's actually still a 15-minute walk. Plus, there are plenty of taxis and buses available from Mingsha Mountain at night; outside of the summer holiday, staying in the city center would have been fine. The only praise I have is that the breakfast was pretty good. The beef noodles were freshly made, which I commend. Coffee was also offered.

The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk service was excellent. They contacted me in detail before my arrival to provide directions to the hotel. The inn is nestled in an orchard, and the rooms are spacious and bright. You can pick pear dates while sitting in the courtyard. What's special is that the rooms are equipped with a water softening system, providing a spring-like bathing experience. Breakfast is served in portions, exquisite and delicious. The inn is very close to the main entrance of Mingsha Mountain, within walking distance, but they thoughtfully provide tricycles for transfers.
