Saigonciti Hotel

I extended my stay. Since I booked the extension later, I couldn't get the same room and had to move to a family-style room. Initially, they said I would have to check out and then check back in after 2 PM, but they secured a room for me in the morning, allowing for a smooth transition. Since it was a family room, it was a bit larger and had a bathtub. Being on the first floor, the water pressure was strong, and the water was hot. The hotel is also close to Ben Thanh Market and the entertainment district, making it a good base for sightseeing.

Great service and nice rooms. The staff even proactively upgraded my room. There's no elevator, so you have to carry your luggage up to your room yourself. Check-in isn't until 2 PM, but the surrounding area is great for exploring, so it's not a problem at all! Because it's located within a bustling night market, I was woken up at 2 AM by noisy singing. If you're sensitive to noise, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The hotel's location is excellent, though the room facilities are a bit dated. It's very close to Bui Vien Street, and you can practically walk to attractions like Ben Thanh Market, the Ho Chi Minh City Museum of Fine Arts, and the municipal center. The staff were very friendly and helpful, proactively assisting us with our luggage, carrying it up and down – they were very enthusiastic.

This is a budget hotel. We booked it for half a day while waiting for our evening bus to Nha Trang. There's an elevator and no insects.

The room had a musty smell and no windows, which made it feel stuffy. The pillows were tiny, and the blanket felt more like a bedspread. The air conditioning was very old. Food and cigarette smells constantly drifted into the room. The staff wasn't very helpful; their answers were confusing. I rented a car, but couldn't park it in front of the hotel because there was no one to look after it, though the bellhop was good and helped me with my luggage every time. The bathroom always had a bad odor.

The hotel has an elevator, but it's one floor above the reception. Generally, hotels in this area don't have elevators. There's a hairdryer, the bed is comfortable, and the room is very small. Good shower.

The location is fantastic, within walking distance to Ben Thanh Market and surrounded by many delicious restaurants. The elevator is only accessible from the floor above reception, but they kindly helped carry my luggage up the stairs to get there. The room had enough space to spread out my belongings. There were a couple of minor issues, like a dirty toilet bowl and no toilet paper (though I got some when I asked at reception), but overall, I would definitely like to stay here again when I visit Ho Chi Minh City.
