Bangkok City Hotel

Good location, but lots of construction going on.  Service was good. Excellent if budget traveler.  Breakfast is a good value if you want something hot in the morning.  Love how they have complimentary water and a coffee machine for guests. No carpet so bit noisy when someone checks in at night on your floor. Good ac and hot water readily available.

It's okay, but if you're coming with a family, it would be better if the room was soundproof.

1. The hotel is just at the centre of big construction until platinum mall area so couldn’t really blame the hotel but i believe the construction wont be done in the next one year so expect that the grab will find it hard to reach your hotel especially during peak hours :,) i had a hard time with grab, either the waiting too long or they had to cancel bcs of the traffic. 2. Wifi is soooo sooo slow 😭 I thought only at night but even in mid day the wifi is just damn slow. And if you have many devices, the wifi became slow and totally not working 😭😭😭 I had to rely on my mobile data 3. The facility in the room needs to be checked always and updated. my tv remote cannot work for some buttons and the battery was dead so had to use the aircon remote battery. The aircon also sometimes will turn off by itself. 4. booked this hotel thru recommendations of many malaysian travelers but kinda disappointed about it :( the location quite nice like around 1.5km to siam square, platinum mall, pratunam market. so im okay with that.

It’s beyond of my words for this hotel. Don’t be deceived by photos of dark and shabby. It’s marvellous and well maintained, staff are friendly and welcoming
