Hotel Indigo DIQING MOONLIGHT CITY by IHG

Our stay at Hotel Indigo Moonlight City was absolutely fantastic! We had initially booked two different room types for our two-day stay, but since we were traveling with a child and didn't want to keep switching rooms, they upgraded our room for us. Our room overlooked Dukezong Ancient Town, offering a superb view. A big shout-out to Emma Allen! 👍🏻 The shuttle bus driver was also incredibly helpful. We'll definitely be staying at Hotel Indigo again on our next trip to Shangri-La.

The hotel offers a panoramic view of Dukezong Ancient City. It's conveniently located near the ancient city, Napa Lake, and Songzanlin Monastery. The facilities are excellent, the environment is beautiful, and the breakfast is plentiful. Highly recommended!

The room offers a fantastic view directly facing Dukezong Ancient City. The hotel breakfast was also quite good. Since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, the hotel thoughtfully prepared flowers and a cake, which was a lovely touch. It's close to the ancient city yet very quiet, making it a super convenient location. I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit.

Completely exceeded my expectations! I knew it would be good, but I never imagined it would be this outstanding. Every single staff member was incredibly enthusiastic and helpful. The hotel environment boasts first-class views, and the room amenities and hardware are all top-notch. Next time I'm in Shangri-La, Indigo is my only choice!

Huge thanks to Emma and Cindy! They upgraded us to a balcony room and did their best to arrange a late check-out for us at 1 PM. The window view was absolutely unbeatable, and the breakfast spread was fantastic – everything met our expectations. The two-person set meal for our group of three at dinner was more than enough, and the restaurant even gave us extra soup and tree tomatoes. We really appreciate it!

Overall, it was a good experience. Cindy and Emma at the front desk were very welcoming and enthusiastic. The complimentary photoshoot was also a nice touch. However, the breakfast selection was a bit limited, and the rice noodles at lunch were a little too bland.

This was my first time at an altitude of over 3000m, and I did experience some altitude sickness, though not severely. The hotel's nasal oxygen supply was a lifesaver (the portable exhalation type you can buy everywhere isn't as effective as the nasal cannula). The hotel's facilities and services are top-notch, and the views are absolutely stunning. The breakfast was incredibly rich and varied, and the service was excellent, truly meeting the standards of a five-star resort. Emma and Cindy even gave us a little gift when we checked out, which was a lovely surprise. If I had to find a flaw, it would be the rather long and steep slope you have to walk down to reach Dukezong Ancient Town from the hotel. It's not very friendly for someone out of breath due to altitude sickness, but everything else was perfect. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Shangri-La.
