The room was gorgeous and the bed was extra comfortable. Staff were lovely to deal with. I ate in the Apparatus Room (the on site restaurant) and my meal was not good. But I highly recommend the hotel (just eat elsewhere).

They use LE LABO products and Frette towels, jumbo flat screen tv...other than that...typical room. For the price, you still have to REQUEST to have your room clean. Paying premium rates, shouldn't have to do that. Can't beat the location though...if you are planning on doing anything near downtown Detroit.

A unique hotel that used to be a firehouse. Great bar and restaurant. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Our room was large and clean. Easy walk to the People Mover and to the Riverwalk area and Woodward street.

We loved out stay. The history is amazing and the renovation to a hotel was fascinating! The location was excellent. All of the staff were very informative and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Always a great spot when staying Downtown Detroit. Fantastic hotel, still feels “locally owned”, great dining options, friendly and accommodating staff. And, of course, outstanding design, beautiful rooms and adequately sized even for a longer stay.
