🇨🇳 Ho Perfect if you're entering via the East Gate! Beautiful rooms, amazing service. Keep this in mind for your trip! 📌 🛏️ 1. Exactly as pictured & Great value for money - The room is fantastic, very new, and spotlessly clean. I booked a room with a bathtub and got the 4th floor. It looked exactly like the photos. The price in late March was amazing—less than $30/night (getting a bathtub at this price is super worth it!). The furniture looks brand new. - The bathroom is great, with clearly separated wet and dry zones. It has a smart toilet with a heated seat and auto-flush! - Amenities are quite complete. However, the hotel provides disposable towels. If you have a larger build, they might not cover you completely (I'm petite, so it didn't bother me), but the material is highly absorbent. - Good to know: the building has an elevator, but you do have to carry your luggage up a few steps to reach the entrance, so it's not 100% wheelchair accessible. But once inside, you can comfortably use the elevator without carrying your bags up to the higher floors. 📍 2. Quiet location but easy to get around - The hotel is slightly tucked away from the busy, bright areas, making it very quiet and perfect for a good night's sleep. - Getting to the park is super easy. You can catch a Didi to the East Gate, and it’s very cheap—only about $0.70 per ride. - As for food, even though it's not right next to convenience stores or restaurants, you can easily order food delivery. If you want to eat out, you can take a Didi or walk to the restaurant area. It's not far, less than 1 kilometer away. 👩🏻💼 3. Friendly owner & Excellent service - The owner manages the reception herself and is extremely hospitable. She gives great advice on exploring the park. Whether you plan a 1-day or 2-day itinerary, she can recommend the perfect walking route. I planned a 2-day trip, so she suggested entering via the East Gate on the first day and the South Gate on the second day. - She is always in a good mood and genuinely seems to love her work. Her bright energy makes talking to her an absolute joy 🤣 I was so impressed! - Her English is okay for basic communication, but for convenience and speed, we used WeChat. The translation feature made it smooth, and we understood each other perfectly. 🎟️ 4. Better ticket discounts through the hotel - I highly recommend this! If you need tickets, let the hotel book them for you—the prices are actually better than booking through popular travel apps. - Whether it's the national park ticket (she also helps book your entry time slot for every day you plan to visit—though if you want to change the time, you need to ask her to update it for you), Baofeng Lake, or the Grand Canyon Glass Bridge, she can get them at a cheaper price. - Another perk is the unpredictable weather in Zhangjiajie. Letting her book day-by-day or close to the date means you don't have to risk booking too far in advance. I changed my plan easily because of fog and rain, and it was completely stress-free. 🚑 5. A personal note of gratitude (why I'm writing this review so long) Late at night on March 25th, I had a medical emergency. I reached out to the owner, and she was incredibly helpful. She actually left the hotel counter to take me to the hospital and helped sort everything out 😭🙏 (I truly apologize to the other guests staying that night!). I was so touched and grateful, and didn't know how else to repay her, so I wanted to write this review to pass on the good word. Summary: This stay was super comfortable and truly heartwarming. Not only because of how much she helped me, but the rooms and facilities are genuinely excellent. If you're looking for a place to stay, please keep this hotel in mind! ❤️

To ensure a comfortable stay, our family of three booked a triple room. It was clean, hygienic, and quiet. The guesthouse has parking and an EV charging station, and it's very close to the scenic area. The only downside is that dining options aren't very convenient; it's a bit of a walk to places, and parking is difficult if you drive. It would be perfect if the guesthouse offered food service.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my solo trip to Zhangjiajie. From the moment I arrived, the reception staff made me feel genuinely welcome. The lady at the reception paid close attention to my room request and went out of their way to assist me, which made a big difference—especially as a solo traveler navigating a new place. The room itself exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, clean at check-in, and offered great views of the surrounding mountains. . The combination of warm hospitality, comfort, and nice views made it a memorable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Zhangjiajie. One point to take note, will need to climb some stairs to get to the hotel lobby.

Fantastic stay! Great value for money, and the location is superb. It's about a 20-minute walk from the Forest Park, the facilities are new, and the service is excellent, plus they allow pets for free. The location is excellent. It’s about a 20-minute walk to the East Gate of Forest Park (and roughly 8 minutes from the bus station, where you can catch a bus to the South Gate). The parking lot is right at the hotel, which is very convenient. Hygiene: The bedding was clean, but housekeeping after check-in can be hit or miss since the staff finishes at 12 PM. -0.2 Service: The front desk staff was very welcoming and professional. They even carefully reviewed my booking notes and requests, which was a nice touch and genuinely appreciated. Facilities: The hotel facilities are quite new (they have a Tmall Genie, but the toilet doesn't have a bidet function -0.1, though it is a smart toilet). There's a small issue with the accessibility facilities, as a section is missing -0.25 (however, the hotel staff will assist with luggage). Comfort: The hotel's design is simple and stylish. Dining: The room is spacious, and while they don't offer meals, there is a kitchen. Bonus Points: Not only did I get a room upgrade +0.5, but also a late check-out +0.5, a refrigerator +0.5, and a kitchen +0.5 (on a side note, I even saw a butler helping a foreign guest with Taobao shopping issues). Drawbacks: Despite the no-smoking signs, there was still a smell of smoke in the hallway. -0.5

The lady at the front desk upgraded us to a suite for free, which was spotless and tidy. The disposable amenities were very hygienic, and the bedding was comfortable. She also gave us very detailed directions. It's a shame that it was super foggy the day we went, so we couldn't see anything and ended up going somewhere else. We'll definitely go back if we get another chance.

The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and helped us book tickets for Forest Park and Tianmen Mountain based on our needs. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit.

The room was incredibly spacious and clean, with no strange odors. It was well-equipped, and they provided plenty of free bath towels and other amenities, which was super convenient. The air conditioning heated up the room quickly. The lady at the front desk was not only beautiful but also incredibly kind-hearted. Seeing that we had a child, she proactively helped us with many things and was incredibly patient. Her thoughtful service made our trip here feel so warm and welcoming. We were so grateful to her that we bought her a drink before checking out the next day. I absolutely love this hotel; it's excellent value for money! If I ever get the chance to visit again, I'd definitely choose this hotel. I hope the owner sees this – please give her a raise! Employees like her, who are so responsible, are hard to come by.

China has been great so far for all hotels we have stayed in. However, staying at Star Field has been the best experience we have had, anywhere in the world. The staff are so fun, kind, helpful and knowledgeable, they make effort to get to know you, give you local advice on food and drinks. Sasha (pictured with my friend and I, is a very amazing person, we were very fortunate to meet her), Ling and Jackson - are the best hotel hosts you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting. The rooms are amazing, clean, technologically advanced and very comfortable. Book your stay here immediately!! The location is perfect for the national park close by and is 500m walking distance from shops, food etc 100/5 STARS
