Dunhuang Orion Inn

I brought my child to Dunhuang for the summer holiday and we stayed at the Orion Hotel. The guesthouse has a lovely desert theme, and the room was quite spacious and very clean. There were no mosquitoes, though we did encounter some flies, but they were dealt with promptly and diligently. The breakfast at the guesthouse was delicious, offering porridge, soy milk, side dishes, coarse grains, as well as noodles and wontons, all of which tasted great. They also provide unlimited yogurt, water, and beverages at the entrance, which was fantastic given the hot weather – we never had to worry about not having something to cool down and quench our thirst. The guesthouse also offers self-service laundry, which I really appreciated, as it meant I didn't have to pack dirty clothes in my suitcase. It's very close to Mingsha Mountain, just a 5-7 minute walk, which was incredibly convenient.

The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any request. The breakfast was fantastic, especially the beef noodles and wontons – absolutely delicious! The room was a good size, and the courtyard was a lovely spot to enjoy tea and the views. Overall, I was very satisfied and would definitely recommend it.

The room was spacious and beautiful. It's super close to Mingsha Mountain, just about a ten-minute walk, and the guesthouse staff even walked with us for a bit of the way. The path was easy to navigate, and parking was convenient. The breakfast was excellent. We stayed for two nights and were very satisfied. They also provided plenty of free fruits and snacks. The guesthouse owner was incredibly warm and hospitable, chatting with us a lot. We're very grateful for their hospitality. When we left, they even told us to take some fruit for the road, which was so thoughtful. Since there were only two of us and we don't eat much, we just took one nashi pear, and it was so refreshing and sweet! 👍👍

The room was clean, the courtyard was comfortable, and it's close to attractions. The front desk staff was friendly, and the owner was very generous, providing a 24-hour supply of various fruits and drinks.

The Mingsha Mountain is super close and really convenient. We drove there ourselves in just a few minutes. There are also a lot of places nearby to get traditional makeovers, so my friend and I got one and took some beautiful photos at Mingsha Mountain.

Our stay here exceeded all expectations, I honestly can't recommend it enough! The guesthouse boasts a simple yet sophisticated design, with thoughtful touches evident everywhere. The courtyard is wonderfully peaceful and relaxing, ensuring a truly restful stay. Our room had excellent natural light and a well-thought-out layout. The bathroom was spotless with a clean, clear separation of wet and dry areas, and all toiletries were provided and hygienic. The hosts were incredibly attentive and genuinely friendly, making check-in a breeze and promptly and patiently addressing any questions we had. Parking was convenient, and getting around was easy, making it perfect for both self-drivers and independent travelers. This place truly melted away our travel fatigue. I've already recommended it to friends, and I'll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Dunhuang!

The kids absolutely loved this B&B! You can grab drinks from the front desk whenever you want, and the yogurt and apricot peel water were their favorites. The room was really spacious, and all the toiletries were disposable, which was nice and hygienic. Plus, there's a private little courtyard. Breakfast was fantastic too – both the wontons and beef noodles were delicious. It's only about a 7-8 minute walk to Mingsha Mountain, so it was super convenient to walk back after the concert. If we go to Dunhuang again, we'd definitely choose this place.

Extremely satisfied! I stayed for 3 consecutive days. The bed was comfortable and the service was attentive. The front desk offered complimentary coffee, fruit, yogurt, and apricot tea. The staff were also very enthusiastic. Every morning, I looked forward to the beef noodles made by the Sichuan lady for breakfast. The location is very close to Mingsha Mountain. I highly recommend it and will definitely stay here again if I have the chance.

The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. They came out to assist us with our luggage even before we'd entered the hotel and then helped us check in. When we went out, they recommended a tour agency whose services were excellent. They even guided us when we went camel riding. Honestly, I can't fault a single thing. This was my first stay at this hotel, and I'm extremely satisfied.
