Nanshan Hotel

The hotel is clean and tidy, and relatively quiet. It's super convenient for visiting the Nanshan scenic area. The service is also very attentive. Every year when I go to Sanya, I always stay a few nights at this hotel. The environment is elegant and peaceful.

The environment within the resort is excellent, and the location is superb. The concierge is always available to shuttle guests to Guanyin Square. Even at 4:40 AM, there was a driver to take us to Nanhua Temple for morning prayers. We tried both breakfast and dinner, and the food was plentiful. We swam until 8 PM and were still able to have dinner; my child loved it and completely cleaned their plate. There was one incident though: at Guanyin Square, we happened to see a female driver picking up a group of people in red tourist outfits. We rushed over, hoping to catch a ride back to the hotel. We saw there was only space left in the back, so we tried to arrange for the elderly and child to go first, and we'd wait for the next car. The elderly person ran all the way to catch up, and we were also saying to wait, but even after seeing them come, the car drove off, leaving us with a comment that they had called a car for us. The elderly person comforted themselves by saying perhaps it was too hot and they didn't want to wait. We just let it go ourselves; when traveling, it's a good reminder to pay more attention to everyone's parents.

Much better than expected! The room offered a direct view of the Guanyin of the South Sea, which was a huge plus. The only downside was the limited dining options. The scenic area closes after 5 PM, and even the food street was shut, leaving us no choice but to eat at the hotel. We ended up paying a premium for a just-okay meal.

As a long-time returning guest, I make it a point to stay here every year for my spiritual pilgrimage. This visit was a delightful surprise! The hotel has undergone a complete renovation, with brand-name furniture throughout and high-end bedding, all of which elevate the cleanliness, comfort, and overall quality. Even arriving late at night, the staff were warmly welcoming, providing service that felt as 친절하고 편안했습니다. The breakfast was plentiful and satisfying, and the peaceful atmosphere is perfect for a spiritual retreat. This is truly my top choice for pilgrimages, and I look forward to returning year after year. It's a shame I didn't take any photos inside the hotel.

After a year of anticipation, I finally got to stay here. We arrived at the foot of the Buddha before opening hours and ascended to the lotus pedestal around 8 AM. The air was fresh, and the scenery was beautiful. Our room was almost directly facing Guanyin, offering a fantastic view! We'll definitely be back next year.

Pretty good, honestly. Facilities: Overall, really good and new. Hygiene: Very clean. Environment: Very comfortable and cozy. Service: Excellent. Arranged for an extra bed in advance, and check-in was super easy upon arrival – just a quick registration.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times, but this was my first time in this room type, costing 3280 RMB per night. The room is located on the mountain and there's no elevator to the third floor. If you're not in good physical shape, be cautious, or be prepared to contact the hotel for a car service to pick you up and drop you off at your building entrance. As for the room amenities, the room size and view are decent, and you can see the Guanyin statue. However, the bathroom facilities have some shortcomings. The faucet on the sink is very short, making it difficult for shorter people to use. The shower stall is small and very dark; the tiles are dark-colored, and there's almost no lighting, so it's quite dim in there. The mini-bar has three cans of drinks, but you can't exchange them for bottled water, even if you don't drink the cans. There's also no water available for purchase within the hotel; you have to go to a stall outside. Getting tea becomes an issue. The breakfast is really mediocre for such an expensive room... and there was a large spider in the bedroom.

The location is superb, right inside the Nanshan Scenic Area. It's a collection of villas, and from the room balcony, you can see the Nanshan Guanyin in the distance. The hotel's dining options are also decent, and the price is acceptable.
