Sai Kaew Beach Resort

The hotel is conveniently located near the main commercial area and within walking distance of two beaches. The famous heart-shaped tree is also on the hotel grounds. With three different swimming pools and amazing fire shows and performances in the evenings, it's perfect for families. We stayed for three nights, but it felt too short! Although the sea at Koh Samet isn't absolutely stunning, the relaxing and holiday vibe was truly top-notch.

The environment is great, and the staff are very enthusiastic. There's a private pier offering shuttle services. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food, and there's a fire dance show at 8:30 PM. It's perfect for a family vacation.

The beach boasts fine, soft sand, and the rooms are spacious and airy, with direct access to the pool – a truly comfortable and relaxing vacation experience with a great vibe. The crystal-clear, jelly-like ocean stretches endlessly, with turquoise waters and waves, offering a thoroughly healing view.

Really liked my two-night stay here. The service was excellent; everyone I met would smile, nod, wave, and greet me. They even arranged a small cake for my birthday, delivered to my room! The air conditioning was already on when I checked in.

I've stayed on both the south and north sides of the island, and the advantages of Sacaya are clearly evident. Firstly, it's very close to the main street and 7-Eleven, making shopping, dining, and renting a scooter incredibly convenient, all within a few minutes' walk. Secondly, there are three pools: the leisure village resort pool and the beachfront pool, all perfect for a swim. Thirdly, it's very, very close to the beach. When I first booked, I couldn't tell the different room locations, but the bungalows and deluxe rooms seem to be the closest to the sea. Of course, it also depends on the angle; there are more reefs near the 'Love Tree' area and a long sandy beach near the bar/restaurant. Fourthly, there's a daily fire show and boat pick-up/drop-off service. Fifthly, the breakfast buffet offers a good variety. The service staff and the security guards across the street were all very friendly, smiling, and welcoming.

Huge thanks to the hotel for their thoughtful arrangements! I requested towel animals in my booking notes, and they delivered beautifully. The room was spacious and modern. We stayed on the ground floor, so we had direct access to the pool right outside our door. The hotel's location is absolutely perfect – step out and you're right on the beach, surrounded by lovely restaurants and charming cafes. Honestly, Sai Kaew feels like the best-located hotel on Koh Samet. The service was excellent too; everyone was so friendly.

The room is a bit old but clean. There's no bidet in the toilet, and no toothbrush provided. You also can't watch Japanese TV. No air conditioning in the lobby either. Maybe having nothing is actually a good thing. Perhaps it's good to just relax and do nothing.

First and foremost, I'd like to thank Sonya at the front desk. Despite the language barrier, she was incredibly helpful and patient in contacting the bus company to help me locate my bag, which I'd left on the bus (even though the bus company ultimately said they couldn't find it, Sonya never showed the slightest bit of impatience). Secondly, the hotel's breakfast, cleanliness, and service were all excellent. It's also very close to both the beach and the main street. I would definitely choose to stay here again on future visits.

Close to the beach, with the Sanctuary of Truth just 400 meters away as the crow flies. You can even see the temple from the poolside.
