Yishu Yihua Inn (zhangjiajie national forest park Landmark Store)

Great location!! Everything was perfect and the receptionist was super lovely… I have to say, I wish the breakfast had more options but otherwise everything perfect!

Incredible place to stay, the rooms are very nice and clean. The staff is very friendly and nice. The views from our balcony room were nice and the views from the rooftop were breathtaking, you get to look over the town with the mountains around you. 10/10 place to stay, will definitely be returning here

A Dated Stay with Some Redeeming Features (5/10) We booked this hotel based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience didn't quite match the 9.5/10 rating we saw online. The property feels like a dated mountain chalet from the 90s. While it has some nice wooden architectural details that give it character, the overall condition is quite worn. The rooms and common areas are in desperate need of a deep clean, a fresh coat of paint, and general maintenance. There was also a noticeable musty smell throughout the property. Additionally, the breakfast was practically non-existent, so be prepared to explore outside the hotel for your morning meals. Wulingyuan as a destination also felt a bit tired, which didn't help the overall experience. On a positive note, if you are traveling with a group of friends, the lobby area is a decent place to hang out. They have a pool table and a fridge stocked with beer (available for purchase), which is convenient after a long day. I understand that running a hospitality business is challenging and renovations require significant capital. However, I think a more realistic rating for this guesthouse would be around a 5/10 in its current state.

Absolutely loved our stay here, very helpful staff in booking and assisting us with park tickets, great location easy walk to night life and restaurants etc, pool table free to use as well!

We stayed in this hotel for 4 nights to visit the Zhangjiajie national forest park and Tianmen Mountain. The hotel is located a little 20-25 minutes walk from the East gate of the Zhangjiajie national forest park, but to get to any other gate you will need to take a Didi since it's too far away and public transport (busses) will not take you to the entrances or outside of the Wulingyuan district (we found no bus connecting Wulingyuan district and Zhangjiajie city). The room was pretty clean, but the sheets smelled like other people and had stains and cigarette burn marks on them. The people at the front desk were helpful and spoke English, however, they immediately tried to sell us things while we just wanted to go to our room and rest. The hill that the hotel is on is steep and we knew the moment we arrived it would be too much after a day of hiking in the mountains. The breakfast was okay, there were two types of noodles you could get, some fruit, and fried rice. The view from the 5th floor breakfast terrace was super nice! Overall an okay experience, nothing over the top. We did notice a lot of other hotels had commuting services to all entrances of the different parks, so if you don't want to spend extra money on a Didi while you're there, maybe look for a hotel that offers these services. The place was super close to the national forest park, super clean and kind staff and they speak really good English totally recommend it

First the positives, the staff were lovely and the location is great. Unfortunately, the room smelled like damp and there were flies everywhere. I killed 11 as soon as i got in. I had booked for 3 nights but decided to leave agter 1 due to the flies and smell.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the entrance of the national park, making it a great base for exploring the area. The view from the terrace is beautiful and perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.

As a group of Irish guys travelling around China, we couldn’t of asked for a better stay in Wulingyuan. The staff were a terrific help, the rooms had beautiful wooden furniture and the complimentary breakfast on the rooftop was delicious. A 10/10 from us.
