Enshi Shennongxi Boatman Cultural Tourism Area is a national AAAAA-level tourist area, located between Xiling Gorge and Wu Gorge in the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River. It is a perennial stream on the north bank of the Yangtze River in Badong County, Hubei Province. It is named after the southern slope of the primeval forest Shennongjia. It is 60 kilometers long with a relative drop of more than 2,900 meters. It is formed by the confluence of 17 streams along the way. The mountains on both sides are towering, winding and overlapping, forming four distinctive canyons of Longchang, Yingwu, Mianzhu and Shennong with different styles of grandeur, beauty, danger and strangeness.
