The rooms are better than pictured. Honestly very very nicely designed. Great room amenities too. The staff have been great, attentive and friendly. The gym is average, or below average but fine. The spa area is decent but sauna is in need of refreshing. They could use a renovation in the whole spa and gym area.

One of the Best Hotel Experiences I’ve Ever Had I’ve stayed at many luxury hotels around the world, and Hospes Palau de la Mar is easily one of the top five hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The property itself is beautiful, the rooms are excellent, and the food is outstanding. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the service. Every single employee we interacted with was exceptional—from the front desk staff, to the bellmen, bartenders, restaurant team, and housekeeping staff. Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. The level of hospitality here is what luxury service should be. The staff consistently put the guest first and handled every request with professionalism and empathy. I had a rental car during my stay, and every time I needed it, the process was effortless. The team always had it ready and waiting, making transportation completely stress-free. Another detail that stood out was housekeeping. Unlike many hotels that only clean rooms during limited hours, the staff here were incredibly accommodating and available whenever needed. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every department delivered the same exceptional level of service throughout our stay. Beautiful hotel, incredible staff, outstanding food, and genuine hospitality. If you’re visiting Valencia, I cannot recommend Hospes Palau de la Mar highly enough.

Amazing, amazing hotel. Approx. 15 mins from the airport by taxi, located in the city centre, easy walking distance to all the major attractions and lots of eating places. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Booked for a birthday treat and was upgraded to a fabulous room on the 5th floor. The room was spotless, large, wide selection of toiletries, clean towels and lovely pillows, like most hotels a hairdryer was provided, however for those of you with curly hair they also provide a diffuser, don't see that in many hotels. The selection of teas and coffees was appreciated. Staff were always available to answer questions on things to do or just a chat. Special shout out to Florine for her kindness, really appreciated. For a medium sized hotel the buffet breakfast had more than enough choice, good products, and hot, with the option to order additional items. I would highly recommend this hotel, like most hotel you need to be aware of the room you book as the one's around the garden area can be a bit noisy in the evenings, however this is reflected in the price. Massive thank you to everyone for a wonderful stay, will defo stay here if I come back to Valencia x

Not 5 stars. Has water damage and mold in the newly renovated rooms. The rooms smell of mildew. Breakfast buffet is not worth it. Pancakes are stacked cold on a pastry table. Huge walk in shower toilet combo is filthy. The grout has mildew and black mold. The TV did not work the entire time we were there. They told us it was the entire hotel having an issue, that was not true. We sent our laundry out. They charged $300.00. Insane. They comped breakfast because our TV did not work but at check out made us pay for it anyway. Booking through ******* somehow gives them opportunity to lower your room level and forget about any upgrades you paid for directly with *******.

Excellent hotel. Good location. Very helpful staff. Will go again! Ask for room at rear (nice and quiet).
