The Park Front Hotel at Universal Studios Japan

This hotel is super conveniently located directly across from Universal Studios, less than a 2-minute walk away. There's a Sushiro and a food street nearby, along with various Lawson convenience stores. What I loved most was the self-service laundry machine; after a day out, I could wash and dry my clothes, and they came out perfectly flat. The machine even comes with detergent and fabric softener, so my clothes smelled great and felt fluffy. There's also a microwave and an ice machine, so I could heat up the sandwiches I bought for breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, it's more Japanese-style with salmon and avocado rice, plus many other options. Overall, it was fantastic!

The room facilities are really old, but luckily the location is excellent. After playing at Universal for a while, my child suddenly felt unwell. When I told the Universal staff, they stamped our hands and let us go back to the hotel to rest first. That's when I truly appreciated the amazing location of this hotel. Just around the corner downstairs, there's a huge Lawson convenience store with tons of delicious food. For a convenience store lover like me, it was like a mouse falling into a rice bin! So, every time I visit Universal Studios Japan in Osaka, this hotel is always my top choice.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right by the exit of Universal Studios. Downstairs, there are plenty of shops along Universal Studios Street, making shopping and dining super easy. There's even a Sushiro and a Lawson convenience store right on the ground floor. I only found out after checking in that the hotel offers luggage storage, so the information online saying they don't is incorrect. If you have luggage, you can drop it off at the hotel first and then head to Universal Studios. The hotel also has a gym. Oh, and the breakfast spread is fantastic! We woke up a bit late, and breakfast only runs until 10 AM, so by the time we got to the restaurant, we only had about half an hour to eat, which wasn't quite enough time 🤦♂️

This hotel is in a fantastic location, right between the train station and the amusement park, which is super convenient. The entrance has a unique design. I was a bit worried about the hotel being too old, but it actually turned out great, with a very functional layout. An hour after checking out, I realized I'd left my watch in the room. Even though there was a bit of a language barrier, the staff were incredibly helpful and got my watch back to me within half an hour. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

Great location, and the room was quite spacious for Japan. The facilities and cleanliness were just okay. There are plenty of restaurants downstairs, the fried beef cutlet was amazing, and I highly recommend getting the tonkatsu set to go – it's much better value and cheaper!

As a hotel linked to Universal Studios, I felt there weren't many kid-friendly activities, and the amenities seemed a bit lacking. The overall theme is New York-style, so I couldn't really spot many Universal elements in terms of IP. Of course, the facilities and cleanliness were still up to standard.

If you're going to Universal Studios Japan, you HAVE to stay here! You can't get any closer to the park. I took the Shinki Bus directly from Sannomiya, Kobe, to the park entrance, and then it was just a short walk to the hotel. You can drop off your luggage first; they have a dedicated luggage storage room. The front desk will give you a card to access it and can even exchange coins for you to use in the lockers. The coins are returned after you retrieve your luggage. The room facilities are complete and comfortable, and the room itself is super spacious! The bathroom and toilet are even separate, which is very convenient! Even though I only stayed one night, I already fell in love with this hotel. Breakfast was also incredibly satisfying, with a huge variety of options, and you can even look out at the park from the window – it was truly delightful.

Last year, in early August, the same room cost around 1700, but this year, booking two months in advance, it was only a little over 500. Honestly, the hotel being so affordable was a major reason why I came back to visit again. The bathroom has a standard Japanese-style wet/dry separation, which even some much pricier hotels I stayed in later didn't offer. The amenities included something for relaxing your feet, haha, it still makes me laugh thinking about it! If you check in early, you can request a room with a view of Universal Studios. Universal Citywalk is right downstairs. There's enough space to lay out two 32-inch suitcases flat.

The location is fantastic, right on the shopping street outside Universal Studios' gates, which is super convenient. It's only a three to four-minute walk to Universal. The hotel itself is quite large, and we had a great view of the entire park from our window. The hotel restaurant was also good. My only minor complaint is that there was a slight odor in the room.
