Outstanding

If you come to Danzhou, you still have to visit Dongpo Academy. From Danzhou, take a bus from Juntun Station to Zhonghe Town. The bus will pass by Dongpo Academy, which is right next to Zhonghe Town. It's also nice to visit Zhonghe Town after you've finished your visit.

Dongpo Academy Highlights: Must-See Features and Attractions

Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Dongpo Academy was the place where Su Shi gave lectures in Danzhou after being demoted. Now it still keeps the features of antiqueness and classic beauty. Inscriptions artifacts have been still kept here from ancient times, giving off the exhilarating air of scholarship. It was here that he opened a school to teach poetry and disseminate Central Plains culture. Nowadays, many of Su Dongpo's manuscripts are on display in the main hall and the adjacent rooms on both sides.
