Crown Towers Melbourne

The room was incredibly spacious, the bed super comfortable, and the linens were top-notch. The front desk staff were very nice, and the WiFi was fast. The view was amazing! Right outside the north exit, you can stroll along the Yarra River to the sounds of beautiful music – it was incredibly chill. If you exit the south door and cross the street, you'll find a 7-Eleven, McDonald's, a great brunch spot, and a steak restaurant. Inside the hotel, there's KFC, Japanese, Thai, Italian, and Chinese restaurants, plus a food hall with lots of delicious and affordable Chinese options that stay open late. We even had some warm Singapore Laksa after coming back from the Great Ocean Road. Taxis are also convenient; the taxi stand is right in front of the waterfall lobby. Many day tour pick-ups are here too, so coming back late isn't a safety concern as you step right into the hotel. Public transport is also good, with tram lines 85 and 96 very close by, and Flinders Street and the Cathedral within walking distance. I feel like I made the right choice! I booked it for over 1200 a night, and it's much better than what you'd get for 1200 in city centers like Beijing, Shanghai, or Shenzhen.

The room was average, but this is hands down the worst hotel service I've ever experienced. The Caucasian woman at the front desk acted like she was God, tricked me into upgrading to a suite, and then put me in a fifth-floor room facing another building. When I went downstairs to confront her after seeing the room, she told me I had an attitude problem 😂😂😂. Who's the customer here? She tricked me for her commission and then got defensive 😂😂😂. What a piece of work.

Excellent location! So happy to be staying at Crown for this price, and the location is truly fantastic. Every day, I see attractive white people downstairs, which is a pleasure to the eyes. The ground floor has many luxury brands and famous restaurants – very satisfying! The front desk staff didn't say much, but they were very polite. It's amusing to see so many Bond girl-like white women walking around every day, haha.

Although it's an older hotel, it's well-maintained and the facilities are in good shape. The room is spacious, with a separate walk-in closet and a large bathroom, making for a very comfortable stay. The bedding is also good, apart from the air conditioning being a bit noisy. The hotel lobby connects to a shopping mall and is grand and opulent. The location is excellent, right by the Yarra River, which is lovely for an evening stroll.

Service could be improved, and check-in was a bit late, but the hotel offered a complimentary bottle of champagne. The hotel breakfast was also very generous, and the view from the window was excellent. Getting to the city center was very convenient!

The concierge, an older gentleman, was incredibly helpful with our parking, and he even remembered my name the next day. The hotel is pretty much as I remember it from 10 years ago, though it might have been renovated. The location is excellent, with convenient shopping and dining right downstairs – even the restaurants from a decade ago are still there!

The hotel's location is great, with nice views, and it's quite convenient to get everywhere. The aquarium is just across the bridge downstairs, which is very handy if you're with kids. The room cleaning was very thorough, and the front desk staff were quite friendly. For breakfast, the fruit selection was particularly generous, and everything else was standard but adequate. My only minor gripe is the breakfast timing: weekdays are 7-9:30 AM. It would be more reasonable if it were 6-10 AM, as many hotels I've stayed at even offer breakfast until 11 AM. 9:30 AM feels a bit early to finish. Also, it offers good value for money; the rooms are spacious, and for the price, it's pretty decent.
