Gorgeous hotel
Excellent hotel. Gorgeously appointed. Lovely room. Had a bit of trouble getting service. One day they didn’t clean our room despite saying they were sending someone. Another time our request for shampoo/conditioner (which weren’t stocked when we arrived to the room) never arrived. Otherwise lovely.

Loved the shinola!
Staff was very accommodating! Upon arrival Mark helped us out a lot with getting our bags to our room and really genuine service. Great guy made you feel welcome! AJ helped with valet and did an awesome job also helping us load the car and making sure we were all set! Room was clean, cozy and just the perfect vibe for our stay!

Breakfast was mediocre. Ordered fruit plate. Honeydew pineapple and cantaloupe were dry and inedible. Toilet frequently backed up and bedside lamps were difficult to turn off I stayed in room 517

The purpose of our trip was to see a Detroit Tigers game. The hotel is a quick walk to the stadium. It is the perfect combination of modern convenience and old world charm. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shinola.

The check in was great!! Valet was great.. Got up to our room what a beautiful space it was. Our room did have a running toilet it did it probably every ten minutes, even with the toilet room door shut. We were on the fourth floor our room was a little toasty and we had the air turned down. The bed was amazing. Shower was a little confusing, but we got it. The continental breakfast at the hotels restaurant was good the first day we got a plate with bacon, I like bacon but this bacon wasn’t done I couldn’t eat it. They really don’t explain to you like what to expect like we didn’t know you had to wait for a receipt it’s kinda embarrassing when you’ve never been to a place so you don’t know what to expect don’t was just odd.. over all the stay was great the atmosphere is great.

I go to Detroit 2-3 times a year and usually try to stay in different places. Well no more! This hotel is awesome, albeit a little expensive, you get what you pay for. Staff and valets are great and very helpful with anything. The bar and restaurant was also amazing. One note, it's a little pricey but a great stay. If I'm downtown I'm staying here again

Nothing special and customer service was average. When attempting to reach out in regards to unknown charges there is no direct number to reach out. When I did finally found a number to reach to, I believe it was an Ai Automated who couldn’t comprehend my question or resolve my issue instead hung up the call.
Location is also horrible- you can hear everything from the street.

The Shinola Hotel exceeded my expectations. It was amazing in every way. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was exceptional, making us feel welcome and valued. The rooms were beautifully designed and clean. The atmosphere was the perfect balance of luxury and comfort, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is unforgettable. Without a doubt, this will be the only place I stay whenever I visit Detroit.

We did not have air in our room. Being that it was 89degrees we were very uncomfortable in our suite. Also, an individual right outside the hotel played music full volume from 2:30am to 4:00am before staff at the hotel finally handled the situation. Shinola hotel is extremely well kept and should be for the price. We did not sleep well. I will say at 4am the hotel staff did move us from the 2nd floor to the 8th…. So we could finally get a few hours of sleep before checking out
