Show More ReviewsTaking the Melaka River Cruise is one of the most scenic and relaxing ways to explore the historic heart of the city. This 45-minute boat ride glides along the waterway that once served as a vital commercial artery for the spice trade. As you travel along the river, you will pass by a beautiful blend of old and new, including traditional Malay stilt houses in Kampung Morten, vibrant street art murals, and historic Dutch-era warehouses that have been converted into boutique cafes. The experience changes wonderfully depending on when you go. A daytime cruise offers a clear view of the colorful architecture and daily life along the riverbanks, while a sunset or night cruise transforms the journey into a magical, illuminated spectacle with the bridges and buildings lit up in brilliant colors. It is a fantastic, effortless way to take in the rich cultural tapestry of this UNESCO World Heritage city.
