The only good thing about this hotel is the river view. The facilities are really old and run down. At night, the sink was leaking quite a bit. The staff asked if I wanted to switch rooms, and I asked, 'Do you even have any available?' The staff then said they'd have to check. So why bother asking me if I want to switch in the first place? Then I asked for an extra blanket, and the hotel said they had none because they were fully booked – not a single spare blanket! The breakfast tables were filthy and hadn't been wiped clean at all. I asked a female server with glasses to wipe it, and she replied, 'That won't come off!' How can obvious food stains and rice grains not come off? I ended up using an alcohol swab to clean it myself!

The room was spacious and clean. Ms. Hu Jingke from Guest Relations was incredibly welcoming during check-in. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Beichenhui and the Changsha Museum, perfect for a run. The breakfast was very good. My only minor complaint is that the executive lounge didn't have many options, but it wasn't a big deal.

The hotel's location is super convenient, directly connected to Beichenhui on the first floor, where you can find all sorts of delicious food! When we arrived at the room, the bed rail was already installed, and kids' toiletries were delivered quickly upon request. During the Spring Festival, breakfast queuing was expected due to the high number of guests, but the service attitude remained excellent. I ordered food late at night and there was no robot to deliver it to the room, so I called the front desk if they could bring it to the room. They refused and told me to get it myself. After going to the lobby I see the receptionist talking to the assistant, both of them are clearly not busy. Sure, I can get the food myself but when I'm paying the price for an Intercontinental hotel I would expect top tier service. And I've had hotel assitants bring the food to my room in chinese hotels that costs less than half the price of this one. Besides that, the hotel looked nice, and the room was good. The location is not really great if you plan to walk anywhere, but with a taxi it's acceptable. The view is pretty good if your room is facing south. Facing north (even with river view) it's not that spectacular.
