This time capsule is definitely for Brit History lovers, tea lovers, who appreciate perfect gardens and pix of the Queen's visit 50 years ago.  Not for foodies -- had to order Brit food 4 - 24 hours in advance of meal time.  Not for folks who are active.  Nothing to do but hire a driver to visit tea plantations.  I might have explored golf option in the rain, but chose instead to depart after one night.

Had a wonderful time at The Hill Club. Greeted on arrival by Hassim who gave us a mini tour and was very attentive throughout. We then had tea, scones and patties on the front lawn - a very tranquil setting and tea was excellent. Well worth a visit.

Hassiam was amazing guide. He shared some very interesting stories and it was great to be taken on a tour into the bars, restaurant and library. Lots of great old photos on the wall.

We had a very nice tour of the hotel with a nice guide showing us around and explaining in details about the history of the hotel. We would definitely consider this if we are ever back in Nuwara Eliya

We had only got the day passes, but it makes you wish you stayed here at the hotel. We got a lovely tour around the beautiful old house where we got the full story of the house and it’s history. It is truly a special place that is worth visiting either for the day/tour or as a full stay.
