Sunshine Yi Hotel Haitang Bay, Sanya (previously a 1 Hotel)

The most delightful surprise during my stay was Jessica's service! Her service was truly outstanding! From check-in, I experienced her enthusiasm and professionalism. She patiently answered all my questions and proactively offered many thoughtful suggestions. The entire communication process was incredibly smooth, making me feel completely at ease. Because of Jessica's excellent service, my impression of this hotel instantly soared. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!

I'm a solo traveler who just wants to relax, so I booked a basic room. Basic rooms really show the true quality of a hotel. I had been relaxing all the way from Sun Bay to Yalong Bay, and when I arrived at this hotel, it was noon, 12 PM, right after checking out from my previous one. The front desk lady spoke very gently, and my room was ready for immediate check-in. The room's overall style is appealing to younger people, and the housekeeper was also very kind. While the hotel's public areas aren't huge and it doesn't offer direct beach access like some of the older, established five-star hotels, it does have a private hotel path. There are chairs everywhere for sitting, enjoying the view, and relaxing, which is absolutely fantastic. You can sit down anytime, anywhere. I particularly liked the spot in photo P9, right outside the restaurant. I'd go and lie there while the staff was cleaning. It's really well-designed, very cool, with a nice cross-breeze. The sky bar and restaurant offer unbeatable views; you can go up there and sit with a complimentary drink. The hotel has activities suitable for adults, which is perfect for a solo traveler like me who just wants to chill. The coffee bar on the first floor also offers discounts to guests. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and will definitely come back!

Sanya Haitang Bay Sunshine is just perfect for a relaxing getaway! 🌿 The original ecological forest-style design means beautiful scenery everywhere, and the rooms are super comfortable. I have to give a special shout-out to our butler, Jessica! From pre-check-in communication to our departure, she was incredibly attentive and responsive, always trying her best to accommodate our needs. Her service was thoughtful without being intrusive. Combined with the excellent environment, this warm service made our trip exceptionally fulfilling. This will be my first choice next time I visit Sanya!

The Sunny One hotel boasts a fantastic design and lush greenery throughout the property, making for a very comfortable stay. Our butler, Jessica, provided attentive service from start to finish, promptly responding to all our requests and ensuring everything was perfectly arranged. The comfortable environment coupled with excellent service made for a truly enjoyable Sanya vacation.

Ambiance: Absolutely fantastic! Lush greenery abounds, and the multi-level pools create a beautiful, rhythmic flow in the design. Facilities: Everything you need is here, plus a fairly secluded outdoor beach. It's not crowded at all, but the waves can be quite big. Service: Jessica's service was excellent. She always provided timely feedback to any questions, striking just the right balance. Finally, we even received a small gift upon check-out! 🎁

This is a great hotel! The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were new and modern, with direct sea views 🌊. The hotel's decor has a unique, nature-inspired style. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely come back if I get the chance.

This was my second stay at Sunshine One Hotel, and unfortunately, it was a bit disappointing this time. First, the breakfast experience was still not great. We were guided to a secluded table, and when we asked to move, the server never returned with an answer. The service was indifferent throughout, empty plates weren't cleared proactively, and the table was left soaking wet after being wiped. The shower in the room also had some issues. On check-out day, I called in advance to request a luggage cart but it never arrived. While I understand it's peak season and things can get busy, it really dampened my vacation mood. Thankfully, I provided feedback to my concierge, Minnie, and the duty manager promptly intervened, handling the issue with sincerity and efficiency. On the positive side, the hotel environment and garden landscaping are excellent, and the staff's recovery service was very attentive. I'm willing to give a good rating and hope that the catering service improves significantly in the future. Regular maintenance checks for guest rooms, along with some detailed reminders, would also be a great improvement.

My stay at Sanya Sunlight One was an absolute delight, so much so that I decided to extend it for a few more days. The hotel's tropical rainforest vibe is immersive, with lush greenery that's both tranquil and refreshing. The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, and the rooms are meticulously cleaned and tidied daily. The breakfast spread is fantastic, featuring a rich variety of authentic Hainan local snacks. In my free time, I even joined the hotel's Baduanjin (a traditional Chinese qigong exercise) activity – it truly completed the vacation experience. A special shout-out to my dedicated butler, Jessica, whose service was incredibly warm and attentive throughout my stay. When she heard I wanted to extend, she proactively handled all the arrangements, saving me any hassle. She noticed how much I enjoyed the local coconuts and thoughtfully surprised me with fresh ones to beat the heat – such wonderful attention to detail! When there was a scheduling issue with my tennis court booking, she patiently coordinated and resolved it promptly. She was always quick to respond and efficiently handled every request I had. Combining such a superb environment with such heartfelt and considerate service made my trip exceptionally comfortable and relaxing. The next time I visit Sanya, Sunlight One will definitely be my top choice again, and I wholeheartedly recommend choosing Jessica as your butler!

This hotel was a total disappointment, a so-called 'influencer hotel' that I booked after seeing Sanya influencer hotel reviews – don't trust them, they're all fake! We originally booked a pool room for two nights, but we decisively canceled the second night. The service simply can't compare to an established five-star hotel; the Ritz-Carlton I stayed at afterward was on a completely different level. **Hygiene:** The pool in our pool room wasn't very clean. The hotel said that outdoor pools inevitably have leaves, which is fair enough, but there were also many black floating objects and insect carcasses. I even pointed them out to the duty manager on the day! Additionally, there was lint left on the table from being wiped. **Facilities:** The bathroom door had no handle to open it and no lock, which was very inconvenient! The desk was also quite old and worn. The sink, however, was quite large, making it easy to wash clothes. **Service:** From check-in to check-out, no one informed us how or where to claim the drinks from the Sky Bar, so we never got to enjoy them. The same goes for the La Mer samples – I only found out about them when I asked as I was leaving! At breakfast, my child hadn't woken up yet. When we entered, we specifically mentioned that our child wasn't with us and we'd need to pack some food to go later. After we finished eating, when we asked for a takeaway box, they refused, telling me to bring the food to them to pack. I asked them to pack the beef noodles, but they said beef noodles couldn't be packed, only bread, and no drinks either! I asked if they could help deliver it to the room, and again they said no. I then pointed out that the beef noodles would go to waste, and they suggested my child could come down to eat here. That's ridiculous! If he could get up, why would I need to pack food for him? Breakfast ends at 10:30 AM, which is the earliest I've encountered in all the hotels I've stayed at in Sanya; even chain hotels have later closing times! To be fair, the breakfast variety was good, but the closing time is just too early! **Environment:** There were too many mosquitoes. We've stayed at Hilton Yalong Bay and the Ritz-Carlton and eaten dinner on the balcony without getting a single mosquito bite. Here, I got several bites, and it was impossible to lie on the poolside loungers! In short, it's an influencer hotel, don't believe those influencer hotel reviews! A room at 1600 RMB a night is not worth it; you'd be better off staying at an established five-star hotel!!
