This Villa is a beautiful property - an old Governor's bungalow, it overlooks Kandy - and the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Decorated in the Colonial style, it has fabulous gardens, and is maintained by staff that really took good care of us. We walked into town rather than take a tuk-tuk. Since there are very very rooms here, the property was wholly ours during our stay! I have to go back someday....

We had a truly wonderful experience during our short stay. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided outstanding service—warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a Sri Lankan smile. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, making us feel genuinely welcomed. The hotel itself is stunning with a mixture of old and new. The design is elegant and inviting, with beautifully maintained spaces that reflect both comfort and luxury. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorated, and offered a serene retreat. The location is breathtaking! The amenities were top-notch, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. We especially appreciated the little touches—fresh flowers in the lobby, prompt room service, and the relaxing ambiance throughout. Quaint century old residence. Ensuites are refreshed with ongoing improvements with a pool construction in progress. Photos of the exterior are either very old or photo shopped as you can barely see the exterior due to the beautiful, lush gardens. Staff are keen to assist but some are not very good with English but display the usual, incredible Sri Lankan hospitality

This place is truly charming - a step back in time (with all the modern conveniences!). We stayed in one of the large front rooms on the main house, decorated with lovely classic furniture and double tall ceilings, and it was very comfortable. Breakfast on the lawn with a view over Kandy, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth, and the lake was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made our stay memorable. Being outside the city proper meant a quiet, peaceful rest in the evenings, but you are still close enough to walk down the hill into town (maybe 8-10 minutes). There is a private apartment with an infinity pool that looks absolutely decadent!

This small boutique hotel is beautiful and the atmosphere brings you back in time to a different era. The service is very discreet and professional. The location is very convenient (10’ by walk from the lake). The possibility to use the rooftop pool at the sister hotel is great. Very lovely stay

The most exquisite boutique hotel, once a colonial bungalow. The winding driveway sets the scene, for what lies ahead nestled in the hillside. We were warmly greeted with a refreshing watermelon drink. Our room had a wonderful four poster bed, with crisp linen and comfy pillows. Evening dinner was served by candlelight outside on the verandah overlooking the Kandy Lake and Temple of the tooth! With the hustle and bustle of Kandy city down below. Special mention to Chamindu and Hiruna who were the most attentive waiters, of which nothing was too much trouble, helpful and very professional. Clean, beautifully decorated with well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms. Breakfast either English or Sri Lankan can be served inside at the grand dining table or outside on the terrace. Thank you for being part of our Sri Lankan visit.

Had a great stay! Fantastic service throughout, Akila was an absolute star! Would highly recommend. Only downside was our room seemed to be newly constructed, and there were a few minor issues that needed to be fixed. A great escape from the hustle and bustle of Kandy.
