Earl's Regency Hotel ★★★★★
"An ordinary hotel."
Taru Villas Kandy ★★★★★
"The service was great, the food was delicious, and the environment was impeccable. The only minor drawback was a small leak in the roof, but overall, it was perfect!"
Kandy Myst by Cinnamon ★★★★★
"This was the worst hotel experience of the entire trip. It was outrageous that when they opened my room, they hadn't checked out yet. I waited outside for ages, but no one came. I had to go to the front desk myself to find out that they hadn't given us the welcome drink that everyone else had. Finally, they gave me a room facing the elevator, and the body lotion inside was empty. The sign said there was a minibar, but it was just an empty fridge. It was truly absurd! 🙃"
Radisson Hotel Kandy ★★★★★
"Excellent hotel with a great location, not far from the train station to Ella. The facilities are a bit old, but it's clean and cozy!"
Cassendra Hotel Kandy ★★★★
"Superb hotel at walking distance from Kandy center and famous Tooth Temple. Friendly, helpful staff . Nice view. Clean cosy airconditioned rooms with fan at ceiling. Water kettle to make tea. Good value for money !"
Queen's Hotel Kandy - 160 Years of Heritage & Luxury ★★★★★
"Staying at Queens Hotel felt like stepping into a gentler era. Its colonial charm sits proudly at the edge of Kandy Lake, with the Temple of the Sacred Tooth just a short stroll away. The staff’s warmth made the experience feel personal, and the buffet lunch was a highlight in itself. I left with a smile and every intention of returning."
Devon Rest ★★★★
"wonderful stay at Debom Rest! clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. staff friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcomed throughout our stay. had dinner at hotel restaurant, avocado drink was awesome! food was another highlight – fresh, flavorful, and with a good variety of both local and international dishes. breakfast was ok only though. overall will recommend for anyone visiting Kandy – we would definitely stay here again!"
Oak Ray Sky Terrace ★★★
"I had a really nice stay. The food was really nice and the staff were so friendly. The rooms were clean with a nice view. The pool was also really nice and really pretty at night. The views were lovely!"
The Trees, Kandy ★★★★★
"The hotel's rooftop pool and bar are outstanding, offering panoramic views of the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Kandy Lake, and the city. The rooms are also very comfortable, the breakfast is plentiful, and the staff are highly professional."

"excellent experience"
Jetwing Kandy Gallery, A Luxury Reserve
"It was my 5th stay at Kandy Gallery, and it always refreshes my family and me. On every family trip, Kandy Gallery is always a destination. There is no other place where we can have such a pleasant stay and lovely hospitality."
The Elephant Stables
"We spent three nights at this small hotel which is situated in a delightful location with views over Kandy and great sunsets. With only seven rooms the staff provide a highly personal service - friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious and comfortable - vey quiet at night except for the sound of crickets! We stayed in five different hotels during our Sri Lanka visit - and Elephant Stables provided the freshest and best cooked food and most generous portions. The choice of menu is small and preordering is necessary."
Hotel Suisse Kandy - since 1890
"Lahiru was a really nice waiter, constantly attending to us. Great experience with such excellent service provided from the staff!"
Fox Kandy by Fox Resorts - Luxury in the Mist
"What's good: The hotel is secluded, beautifully maintained grounds, a wonderful view from the top, plenty of aesthetically pleasing photo spots, and a relatively well-appointed room. What's bad: Since the hotel is located at an altitude, unfortunately, we didn't get to experience the joys of the pool (after being caught in the eye of a cyclone on the way, we would have been happy to swim and warm up in the warm water, but the water in the pool was cold; this is a major drawback given that swimming is one of the main activities/entertainments on the property). The hotel restaurant could use some training for its chefs: when you're hungry, as we were, of course, any food seems delicious, but ours, alas, was not. Our selection wasn't particularly sophisticated, but rather poorly prepared: Mushroom cappuccino, garlic prawns, chicken biriyani, two lion beers. The mushroom soup was bland, with no hint of mushrooms, the shrimp were severely overcooked, and I practically cried when I ate the chicken, even though I asked the waiter "no spicy, please." Not only was the chicken so dry it tasted more like snakeskin, but the spices burned my mouth. Perhaps we were just "lucky" with the food, but unfortunately, dinner for less than 11,000 Sri Lankan rupees wasn't impressive. Breakfast, however, was decent (omelet, beans, some meat, grilled vegetables, fruit, pastries, fruit shake, water). The staff was polite, and everyone tried their best, both at the hotel and in the restaurant. Yes, the road to the hotel isn't for the faint of heart: the road is poorly paved in places, and there's a steep switchback uphill. But if you're a seasoned hiker and even a season-long biker like us, the road to the hotel won't be too daunting. Recommendations for the hotel: We were missing a clothes dryer. For those who use the pool or get caught in heavy rain, this is a necessary item. Please provide a replacement."
Mount Blue Kandy
"Clean and spacious room. Very courteous staff and always looking out for the wellbeing of the tourist staying there."
Thilanka Hotel Kandy
"Terrible"
W15 Hanthana Estate Kandy
"If you are looking for a luxury, quiet stay and excellent service, this is the place. A big thank you to the staff, very professional and friendly."
View360
"Given we were a family of four, we opted for the spacious Presidential Suite. This accommodation truly felt like a comfortable 2BHK apartment, complete with a living room, kitchen, dining area, and two bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. It was remarkably clean, well-maintained, and offered ample space, making it highly recommended for families. The suite also boasted a beautiful view overlooking a distant hill. The road to this hotel is quite steep."
Mahaweli Reach Hotel
"Nestled on the banks of the Mahaweli, Sri Lanka’s longest river, this hotel offers a magnificent natural setting that we thoroughly enjoyed. Sitting by the river, watching its gently flowing waters while sipping a cup of high-grown Sri Lankan tea, was a particularly memorable experience. The hospitality was exceptional. Januth was attentive, courteous and went out of his way to ensure that all our needs were met. Lahiru, the Housekeeping Supervisor, was equally impressive. His pleasant manner, attentiveness and commitment to excellent service make him a valuable asset to the hotel. We would gladly return to this beautiful property, not only for its wonderful riverside setting but also for the warm and generous hospitality shown to us by Januth and Lahiru."
Serene Kandy
"very good. Everyone can come."
Kings Ridge Kandy
"We stayed at a pleasant hotel situated on a hill. The rooms were spacious, equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Unfortunately, the refrigerator was unusable as it was not working and contained an old banana. The waiter in the restaurant was trying his best to provide good service. There was a warning about not opening the windows due to monkeys roaming around the balconies and the hotel vicinity, so guests need to be cautious."
Selene City Hotel
"Hotel is super clean Staff is so friendly and helpful Location also good"
Skyloft Kandy by Aaradhya
"It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together."
The Summit Kandy
"We had a fantastic stay! The hotel's location is perfect—close to key attractions, transport, and beautiful surroundings, making getting around super easy. The food was exceptional as well; every meal was fresh, flavorful, and served with great attention to detail. Highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort and great dining!""
Aarunya Nature Resort and Spa
"The villa-style hotel is located on the mountain. The room has its own swimming pool. The overall environment of the hotel is great! Especially the dinner in the restaurant is highly recommended, with 9 local Sri Lankan food, equipped with a dedicated chef and music performance, and the price is a little expensive."
