Crowne Plaza SUZHOU by IHG

The package price on Trip.com was really a great deal. We booked it in advance for our 24th anniversary and stayed for two nights. We happened to be there during a typhoon, so it rained constantly, but thankfully the hotel had everything we needed for food, drinks, and entertainment, so we weren't bored staying indoors. On the first day, we checked into the 'Captain's Suite' on the sixth floor. The facilities were a bit old, but the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views. The bedding felt a little damp. On the second day, the rain was so heavy that water seeped into the room from the deck area. The hotel upgraded us to the 'Navigator Grand Suite' on the eighth floor. The facilities there were newer and well-equipped, making for a much more comfortable stay than the 'Captain's Suite', and the bedding was dry. The breakfast on the first floor was packed every morning, and the variety of dishes was quite good, appealing to most palates. We also checked out the afternoon tea at the lobby lounge. It was beautifully presented, but the cakes weren't very tasty. It was good for taking photos and passing the time, though. The executive lounge on the seventh floor only offered soft drinks and alcohol during the day. However, during dinner hours, there were hot dishes, snacks, and cakes, although the selection wasn't extensive. Overall, the hotel is a flagship Crown Plaza, so it's quite large and has a clear locational advantage. It's just a bit older now, which is to be expected given its age.

I had a very satisfying stay. The hotel has a tranquil environment, and the lake view is a major highlight. The rooms are well-laid out, clean, and odor-free, with a complete set of toiletries. Service response was quick, and any issues were handled promptly and properly. Breakfast ingredients were fresh, and there was a good variety to choose from. The location is excellent, making it convenient to get to all the major attractions. It's perfect for both travel and a short, relaxing getaway. Highly recommend, definitely a five-star review! I would come back again if I have the chance!

After a long search, I finally settled on the Crowne Plaza Jinji Lake and it exceeded my expectations! I arrived at 2 PM, and the front desk upgraded my room for free, allowing for immediate check-in! The family room was incredibly spacious with two very comfortable beds, and it was also spotlessly clean. I managed to enjoy the outdoor pool before August 31st, and it was super chill. The indoor pool was a bit cold, so the outdoor one was definitely better. The kids' club was also very clean, and my baby loved it. Breakfast was quite good. Even though it was crowded, the dining experience was pleasant. There was a wide variety of options, and I even got to try the local Suzhou-style braised noodles. I'll definitely be back!

This Crowne Plaza hotel has a unique boat-shaped architecture. The staff are all very polite and highly professional. The hotel's location is quite good, with a lakeside promenade downstairs that leads directly to the Fountain Square. The buffet here is quite famous, available for both lunch and dinner. However, during peak season, breakfast can get very crowded. I recommend asking in advance what time it's less busy, otherwise, waiting in line at the entrance can be quite awkward.

Our short weekend trip was made even better by our stay here. The hotel, situated by the lake, boasts a beautiful and tranquil environment. The public areas are well-maintained and attractive, and in the evening, the lighting creates a wonderful ambiance. The room hygiene was impeccable; there were no strange odors upon entering, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and every corner of the bathroom was spotless. The room facilities were complete, with well-maintained furniture, conveniently placed outlets for both work and leisure, and smoothly functioning bathroom fixtures. The staff were highly professional, friendly, and courteous to guests, communicating effectively and resolving issues efficiently. The hotel's gym and pool facilities are excellent, with regularly maintained equipment that guests can use for free. The location is superb; it's lovely to walk around the lake, and it's not far from the subway and commercial districts, making it easy to get to various attractions. This hotel perfectly balances a resort-like atmosphere with solid amenities, uncompromised hygiene, and excellent service. It's a guaranteed great stay for a weekend getaway.

Whenever I visit Suzhou, I always stay at the Crowne Plaza. The location is incredibly convenient. The cleanliness and service at the buffet restaurant and in the rooms are consistently excellent. Other staff members could definitely learn a lot from them.

The room is spacious with a great view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. It's lovely to take an evening stroll by the lake, which is right downstairs. Shopping and dining are super convenient with a mall nearby. Big shoutout to the front desk lady – she was fantastic, incredibly helpful, and always quick to respond to our questions. The hotel's style is also really nice, and the lobby offers stunning, unobstructed views of Jinji Lake – very relaxing and 'chill'. However, the hotel pool is a bit on the small side, and you need a swim cap to use it. They only have one type of swim cap available, which my child didn't like because it was black, so I'd recommend bringing your own. The kids' play area also wasn't as big as I'd imagined, but once you're out and about exploring, those minor points don't really matter, haha.

My wife and I first stayed here in 2016, before we were married. Now, our child is almost ready for elementary school. Our experience back then was already great, and after the renovation, everything is still top-notch. Even with many guests, the hotel is well-maintained and the environment is quite clean. They even prepared gifts for our child. BUT! I don't understand the design of the connecting door between our room and the adjacent one; the soundproofing is practically non-existent... I'm not sure if this is only the case for suites, but the family next door with a child was up and noisy in the middle of the night, so we ended up going to sleep in the early hours as well... Also, for a room rate of over 4,000, the drinks in the minibar are surprisingly chargeable... We had a small bottle of 'Tea Pie' and kiwi juice, totaling 46. Otherwise, everything else was fine, and overall, I'd give it a good review.
