Holiday Inn Express ZHENGZHOU ZHENGDONG by IHG

Location: Very close to the East Station, about a 10-minute walk from the West Plaza exit. It's a new area, so not too crowded. Service: The service was really good. They even offered complimentary drinks, and the front desk staff were all very polite. Cleanliness: Everything was tidy and generally acceptable. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was sufficient.

Extremely close to Zhengzhou East Railway Station, about a 500-meter walk. There's a fantastic Hangzhou restaurant right downstairs. We received complimentary welcome drinks upon check-in. The bed wasn't huge, but the shower was incredibly spacious. They also have a laundry room with three separate washer-dryer sets. Breakfast was quite good, and they even had a fresh coffee machine.

This trip really made a great impression on me regarding Holiday Inn Express! The room was very standard, with everything you'd expect, and I especially loved that their desk lamp was a Philips eye-care lamp – major kudos for that! The hotel's location is right outside Zhengzhou East Station, about a six or seven-minute walk. We came from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou East the day before and were heading back to Nanjing the next morning, so staying here was incredibly convenient. The breakfast is also quite good for a hotel of this caliber, with a wide variety of choices; meat, eggs, milk, whole grains, and fruit were all abundant. Plus, their coffee is from Luckin Coffee! If I had to pick a flaw, it would be receiving a text message asking for a good review after checking out, and it even had my name on it. The main reason it felt awkward was that when I checked out, I just handed over my key card and there was no other service. If I were going to give a good review, I'd be more inclined to give it to the gentleman who checked me in, at least he told me that IHG members get two complimentary Cokes. The young lady at checkout literally just took my key card! So to directly receive a text asking for a good review felt a bit awkward!

The environment is decent, but the main highlight is the excellent location. It's about an 8-minute walk to the East Station and a 5-minute taxi ride to Zhengzhou East MixC. The hotel rooms are good, typical of a reliable 3-4 star chain. Breakfast was also alright.

My overall impression of this Holiday Inn Express stay can be summed up as 'just right comfort.' As a mid-range hotel under the InterContinental Hotels Group, it perfectly balances quality and value for money, making it especially suitable for business travelers and families. Guest Room: Attention to Detail I stayed in a King Superior Room, approximately 30 square meters, with a well-thought-out layout: · Excellent bedding quality, with a mattress that was neither too soft nor too hard, providing an excellent sleep experience. · The workspace was equipped with an ergonomic office chair and a multi-port charging station. · The mini-fridge provided cold water. · The bathroom featured a wet/dry separation, ample water pressure, and instant hot water. · Good soundproofing; I could barely hear any noise from the hallway or adjacent rooms. Dining and Facilities The breakfast selection was rich, with a good balance of Chinese and Western options. The freshly made noodles and the local specialty, 'Hulatang' (spicy soup), were particularly impressive (breakfast starts at 6:30 AM). Excellent Location The hotel is located near Zhengzhou East Station: · A 10-minute walk to the high-speed rail station. Areas for Improvement While the overall experience was good, there's still room for improvement: 1. The in-room Wi-Fi speed was a bit slow during peak hours. 2. There are no shopping facilities nearby, making it inconvenient for shopping.
