Malmaison Edinburgh City

The hotel is quite large and in a great location, but our room was probably cheaper, so it was on the first floor with a direct view of the street, meaning the curtains couldn't be opened. Also, Edinburgh is notoriously difficult to get to; the reception desk is actually on the fourth floor, and there's no elevator to the first floor, so we had to carry our luggage down ourselves, which was inconvenient. Furthermore, the hotel's soundproofing was poor; we could hear the loud shower noise from next door. Also, the bright red door, combined with the LED strip lighting and the hallway outside, gave it a creepy, movie-like feel. The portrait paintings in the room also didn't feel very auspicious.

This hotel really left a very "unforgettable" impression. The hotel seems to be a renovation of an old building. The environment is very crowded. Going to the room is a very difficult and winding road. It is very complicated... My friend's room is arranged on a different floor, but we have to take different elevators and climb the stairs with luggage to get to the elevator... There was no staff to assist in the whole process, and the elevator floor is also arranged very strangely... The room is OK, clean and hygienic, the bed is very small, and the lighting and decoration style are really hard to evaluate... The location is good, and the hotel breakfast is relatively average
