Jinmao Purelax Lijiang, The Unbound Collection By HYATT

Location: About 2 km from Shuhe Ancient Town, close to the Jinmao commercial area. Very convenient for getting around. Rooms: The room was super 👍 and spacious. The front desk kindly upgraded us to a mountain-view room where we could enjoy the stunning 'Sunshine on the Golden Snow Mountain' view. Staying on the balcony, sipping tea without even stepping out, was just so relaxing and cozy. Facilities: Beautiful landscaping at every turn, making it great for photos during the day. The hotel's cute pets are also very friendly. We stayed for 2 nights and had 4 meals at the hotel. Highly recommend the clay pot stinky tofu rice noodles at the Biao Restaurant—they are amazing! The pizza made by the Western cuisine chef was also fantastic. We tried the Naxi native chicken and mushroom hot pot; the soup was delicious, and the chicken actually tasted like real, flavorful chicken 👍. We also tried the roast duck at the Chinese restaurant—it was very good and truly lived up to its reputation as a specialty. Service: All the bellboys were very enthusiastic, and the service from housekeeping, the front desk, and the restaurants was top-notch. This is the absolute ceiling (pinnacle) of resort hotel amenities and service in Lijiang. Highly recommended if you are visiting!

During the Mid-Autumn Festival, my four friends and I traveled to Yunnan. We stayed at the Jinmao Hotel Lijiang, a Hyatt Centric property. I had high expectations for the snow mountain view room after doing my research, and overall, my actual stay was quite satisfying. Here are some genuine thoughts for your reference. The hotel is located near Shuhe Ancient Town, just a few minutes by taxi, and not far from Dayan Ancient Town either. The surrounding area is relatively quiet. The entire hotel features a scattered layout in the Naxi garden style, with excellent greenery in the public areas. There are lake views and courtyards, making it very pleasant for strolling and taking photos. I stayed in a snow mountain view king room, which was quite spacious and included a balcony. The soft furnishings had a heavy, antique Naxi style, and the toiletries were by Karl Lagerfeld, offering good quality. However, there was one minor regret this time – it rained continuously during the Mid-Autumn Festival in Lijiang, and the temperature wasn't low enough. The clouds completely obscured the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, so I couldn't see anything from the balcony. The front desk mentioned that on a clear day, you can see the 'Golden Mountain in the Morning Sun' right from your window. I guess our luck wasn't great this time; it just leaves an excuse to come back again. I must commend the hotel's breakfast. Served at the lakeside restaurant, the variety was extensive. They had freshly made 'Crossing the Bridge' noodles, 'Xi Dou Fen' with fried dough sticks, fresh flower cakes, and other Naxi-style snacks, along with fresh squeezed juices. Eating while enjoying the lake view was very comfortable. We also had a meal at the Chinese restaurant, 'Dianxiang Pavilion,' and the food was delicious. Here’s a small tip for everyone: it's best to go for breakfast around 7 AM. One day, we went at 6:30 AM, and some items weren't ready yet. Between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM, it gets exceptionally crowded, and you have to queue for food. 7 AM is just perfect – not too many people, and everything is served. One small suggestion: there's a pet park with alpacas and miniature horses near Building D, which children love. However, you can definitely smell an odor when walking past. It would be even better if the cleaning frequency could be increased. Overall, both the hotel's facilities and services were above standard, and all five of us, staying in three rooms, were quite satisfied. If the weather is good next time, I'll definitely come back to try my luck at seeing the snow mountains.

Location: The hotel is quite close to Shuhe Ancient Town. Taking a taxi to either Dayan Ancient Town or Shuhe is very convenient for getting around. Dining: The breakfast is rich and varied. I highly recommend ordering the roast duck in advance—it tastes amazing, and the dishes at the Chinese restaurant are also delicious. Environment: Wake up early and you can catch the stunning view of the golden sunrise on the snow-capped mountain. The hotel is very peaceful and ideal for a relaxing getaway, and the complimentary travel photography session included in the package was great. The hotel itself is like a mini zoo, which kids will definitely love.

I chose a room with a distant view of the snow-capped mountains, and the scenery was pretty decent. To get back to the rooms, you need to take a golf cart unless you are staying near the entrance. The hotel was very crowded with guests, so breakfast was quite packed. Because of the large number of guests, the service couldn't be very personalized or attentive. I just checked out from the Jin茂 (Jin Mao) resort in the mountains and moved to this Grand Hyatt in the downtown area. The service and guest volume at both are quite significant respectively. However, the Hyatt has the advantage of being located right in the city center, making it very convenient to get around. It also seems to offer a lot of activities, but I didn't have time to join any, so I can't comment on them.

The hotel is located near Shuhe Ancient Town in Lijiang's Gucheng District, with convenient transportation that made visiting local attractions very easy. The facilities are fully equipped, including a gym and a swimming pool. It's just a 15-minute walk to Shuhe Ancient Town, offering a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle—perfect for relaxation. The hotel also offers plenty of engaging activities: you can go fishing, try out handicrafts, and interact with cute animals like alpacas and donkeys. Shannyn provided excellent service and handled our check-out efficiently and attentively. We will definitely stay here again given the chance!

I've visited Lijiang many times, and my stay at Jinmao Select was by far the best hotel experience. The hotel itself is a huge attraction. Waking up to the stunning 'Sunlight on Golden Mountain' view from my balcony every morning was incredibly refreshing. Compared to the bustling Old Town, this place is quiet and beautiful, and its proximity to Shuhe and Baisha ancient towns completely changed my perception of Lijiang. The staff are all very friendly, and the golf cart service for getting around is super convenient.

We chose this place for our honeymoon, and the romantic vibe was simply unmatched. The classical gardens are serene and picturesque, offering great photo spots everywhere, and the evening light is especially magical. The room was cozy, spacious, and offered great privacy. The bedding was so soft that we slept soundly through the night. The hot water supply was abundant, and the toiletries were of high quality. We enjoyed a leisurely breakfast featuring local specialty snacks. Via at the front desk was thoughtful, warm, and patiently introduced the resort's activities. The hotel boasts a fantastic location away from the crowds—romantic, quiet, yet convenient for getting around. It’s a truly rare gem in Lijiang, and we’ll definitely be back if we get the chance!
