Route Inn Grantia Akita Spa Resort

A wonderful place with an excellent onsen. The spa complex includes a sauna, a hammam, several pools of varying temperatures, and bathtubs with directed water jets. The photos show the view from the room. Also, if you opt out of daily cleaning, you get a complimentary drink of your choice.

The accommodation is quite a walk from the train station. There is a 100 yen loop bus, but it doesn't run very often. From the airport, you can take the bus and get off at a nearby stop. I like that there is a hot spring bath included. Breakfast is okay. The price for staying on festival days is a bit more expensive. The rooms are in the style of typical Japanese hotel chains. There is only one elevator in the building next door.

There were so many hot springs to choose from, it was fun. I would like to stay at this hotel again when I come to Akita.

Although it's a little far from Akita Station, there's a market along the way, so it's not too much of a problem. You can use the adjacent restaurant for breakfast, which is spacious and comfortable. The hot spring facilities are also a great plus.

The service was good, but their foreign language skills were limited. The room furniture was a bit old, but the mattresses were comfortable. The parking lot was large and convenient.

Our room was on the first floor. Because it was a long weekend, there were a lot of guests coming in and out of the front door through the window from the morning, so we couldn't open the curtains. We were on the first floor, and the windows were dirty, so the view was disappointing. The washing area and bathroom at the hot spring were too crowded, so we had to wait in line. We had takeout dinner in our room and ate it slowly, but we were surprised at how expensive it was for the amount. The breakfast was average, but other Route Inns have been tastier.
