Tokyu Stay Sapporo

I stayed here for 6 nights and 7 days, and my room was never cleaned, not even a simple tidy-up. By the fourth day, the room was really dirty. The duvet cover was simply draped over the duvet, so the duvet and sheet had separated. When I asked at the front desk, I found out that the hotel's policy is to only change towels and empty trash daily, with no cleaning provided unless paid for. And if you don't put a sign on your door, they won't even change the towels. However, I believe there's a rule in Japan that hotels must provide mandatory free cleaning every three days. I understand the aim is to be eco-friendly and reduce cleaning, but surely basic tidying should still be offered? Although it's a 3-star hotel, the price wasn't cheap, costing over 1,000 RMB per night, and there were large stains on the room's curtains. The staff's service attitude was good, and the food and drinks at the bar were aesthetically pleasing and tasted great. The only major issue was the terrible room hygiene.
